Our Concious is Forever

I just randomly had a thought (like I do lol), that if you believe like me that after death you return to your higher self and 'remember' everything you've forgotten about your true purpose then when you return to earth in a new life (if you choose to return) then we're the same concious as we are right now.

Since being 'concious' is an astounding topic. Since before you or me even came across spirituality or anything spiritual, you might of believed that your concious (as in living right now) began at the birth of this life.

Which makes me think, when we are born into a new life, are we the same in control as we are right now? Like i'm not you, i don't know how it feels to look through your eyes and think in your mind. But what i'm saying is, our next life, no matter whether we're a man or a woman, we have the same concious as we have right now but we grow up to be different because of nature/nurture. There's also the debate that some things can remain as in psychic abilities for example.

I believe when we're reborn we forget everything. Our past lives, our higher self. Everything, until we die then we remember like we're reuniting with our true selves. It's fascinating to think in a past life I could of been sitting on a laptop and typing as I was now! Makes me wonder if I choose to live again on earth what my new life would be like and how it would feel to be concious in another body............not that i'd feel how I do now LOL because i would of forgotten!

You are going to get differing answers to thi as we are all different and have different experiences,i can only speak for myself here, i remember being born and not wanting it,i was born remembering different things to my siblings i was always classed as the black sheep or weirdo all the names you can think of ive been called it. because i used to know what to do in an emmergency i could heal people just by toutching them ,i was born seeing spirit and always seeing myself in other lifetimes . i could take control of others in certain situations if they cried i spoke to them in fact i was councelling them.and thats what i am now a councellor.but i was doing it from very early on, i saw different things to anybody else i knew things that nobody knew about people. i could predict how they were going to die and in what manner. i cant list everything that i was born knowing,it would depend on how many lifetimes you have had in my opinion, i walk my final path i wont be back anymore, but as i said everybody will have different experiences.

I debated with people about whether or not having psychic gifts can raise the chances of having them in the next life. If I was one to wager I'd guess that if someone was clairvoyant in a previous life then upon rebirth its either carried over or hidden deep within you so you can pull it out again. I believe my soul has only "just" begun ever on the path of spiritual development so I'm going to do my best to leave something for myself in a next life.

Interesting thread.. I find myself doing/having done things for unknown logical reasons to find that later on I had set up structures that were necessary for me later on in life.

Recently I have had a clear out and found things that I now need and why I had them ever is a wonder ( I recall having them but do not know why I kept them or how they came into my possession).. deep down my consciousness knew I would need it at some point and had it ready for me.

I think society develops and yes we may have a similar conscious but will evolve differently.

I agree we are supposed to forget everything, but imprints remain and trigger events/emotions and yes if you had psychic abilities I think they remain. You may choose to use them differently in each incarnation but the ability remains and the knowledge. For example, do I call myself a witch? I was in several PLs, I was executed/drowned when I was falsely accused as one so having been on both sides, I have the ability and knowledge deep within but choose not to use it, but am aware that it can be activated and triggered.

We have our free will to make our choices and to govern our path.

IMO consciousness creates, and perceive thought. You can say that it's fundamentally compatible with energy and has mass. It all depends on if you believe that thought force created the universe,which was energy.

That which creates itself creates the energy which reflects back in on itself to continually create itself again and again. It's the seed,tree, and fruit analogy. So if this is true, consciousness is self perpetuating.
