Reiki Circle?

Hi.

Can someone please help explain to me what exactly happens in a typical reiki circle? I have looked it up but there is such a mixture of information. I have had people keep telling me I should attend some but I am weary because I don't know what to expect. What happens? Do I have to do or know how to do anything? I just feel silly walking into a reiki circle completely blind as to what I am supposed to do or what normally happens....

I really want to attend a reiki circle but I just want some background knowledge on what to expect before I go....

I have been to a few reiki circles. Some with people who are already attuned to a reiki level and some where there is a mix of reiki people and people who have never experienced reiki before at all. See if the ones you're interested in attending invite people who are both attuned to reiki and those who are not.

In my experience, it is a way for reiki practitioners to practice and share their gifts and exchange reiki energy as the healer or receiver...kind of like an energy orgy. There may be people of all levels and abilities, including some who were trained properly and some who weren't, some who are energetically responsible and some who are not. If you feel called to go experience one go ahead, or if you've never experienced reiki before I personally would recommend seeing a trusted or reputable reiki master for an individual session.
