What Does This Mean?
I have returned after a long hiatus due to academic reasons (school). I am here to describe a dream I had last night. I can't remember very much about it except that I clearly remember hearing gunshots in my dream which is very odd, since I usually have important elements of my dream represented visually. If you can figure out what this means, that would be great (this only happened once).

It can mean several things, so it really depends on you the dreamer and how you think about guns and gunfire and what's currently going on in your life. It could represent explosive anger and or hearing violent or disturbing talk, words or sounds. It could also represent quick energy loss or energy drains. Another possible meaning is that it represents fighting or a battle of some sort either defensive or offensive.

you've not really provided any context for analysis PeaceChic99.
are you convinced that the sounds were "important elements"?
if that's the only memorable bit from the dream, i suppose it is significant.
i'd guess that it was serving to bring your attention to auditory information...
maybe you'll overhear something you might normally miss in the near future.
if so, it could be something seemingly small, but potent and focused.
[an explosion would be "scattershot" and non-directed.]
