Yes, I see it as more of a pickup of an emotional connection. People who have known one another for awhile can often just look and know what the other is thinking. Look for it the next time you see an interview of spouses or some sort of family members.

I've known people in families that have purchased the same item on the same day or tried to call each other at the same time and things like that.

One particular and deeper story is when two sisters-in-law that I know were pregnant at the same time and one had a dream, well nightmare, about the other. The one had a vision that her sister in law had twins and that one died and the other was severely health impaired. The next day it happened. She went prematurely but had no previous knowledge of any problem. The twin that lived had a brief Earth life.
The other woman's baby was healthy. She and everyone wishes they all were but couldn't control that.

You should look for books and guides on amazon for example. It is a good way to learn more about it.
