Another smell, this time candle smoke
While at the beach, I was listening to the ocean and taking in the beauty of the waves.
I was in a deserted section, no one but me and my journal. Out of nowhere, I smelled a strong smell of candle smoke, like when they put them out after Mass.
Anyone? Thank you!

No beach fires down wind, maybe smoke from that...
Smoke, spiritually tends to represent the presence of God/Spirit...just a thought

I've had a similar experience smelling candle smoke. There were no candles lit anywhere, yet it smelled like a candle was just blown out. I've been told it could be a spirit guide or "someone visiting" you. I only had this happen one time, but it was a strange feeling, like someone or something was in the room with me. It didn't last more than a few seconds or so, but it made the hair on my arms stand up.

Thank you nightowl and Paul.
Paul...your experience is exactly what I felt that day...except mine was at the water. Have a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend in Jersey...

Were you all alone that day? Did you get a funny "feeling" that someone was around you or watching you? It only happened to me once, but boy I'll never forget the way it felt!

I get different smells now and then.Sandalwood most of the time and a certain parfum smell. In both cases I get the feeling it`s my Aunt visiting. One time my daughter smelled the Sandalwood in her room at the same time as I did in my room. The smell comes and goes.
