Did I meet a Twin Flame?

When I was having some abdominal pain a few years ago, I was referred to a specialist. I will describe what happened. When the doctor first entered the room he didn't even look at me, he turned around real fast with his clipboard and was facing the door. Then soon as he walked up to me, he shook my hand and his eyes lingered on my eyes for a long time. Then he asked me to tell him about what was going on with the abdominal pain I was having. Afterwards he told me to sit near him by the computer and I did. After he was done talking to me, he jumped out of his chair so fast to shake my hand again. I could tell we were really attracted to each other.

He then scheduled me for a endoscope test. That day as I was laying there on the hospital bed waiting for the doctor to come in, he entered the room and his eyes were locked on mine and they were glazed over. I've never seen a man look in my eyes like that before. It was almost like he was looking at me with love. Anyway he leaned on the bed railing and looked down. He asked me who I brought with me today to pick me up after my test. I said my husband. He looked up at me and our eyes locked for a really long time. It was like my eyes zoomed in on his and we were communicating with our souls through our eyes. I then immediately looked down at his lips and they were parted like he was in awe of the moment. We were locked staring at each other for the longest time. Then he looked away real fast and didn't say anything.

I found out later that he was married just as I was. I haven't seen him since. I decided not to see him as my doctor anymore because of what happened. After that day I believe I went through a spiritual awakening. I was laying down that night in bed and I could feel energy running up and down my body. I started to study information on Kundalini Awakening. Then I found information on Twin Flames. Anyway after a few years later, I am divorced. I've always wondered if I met a soulmate that day so I decided to sign up for these forums to get opinions on what happened. Any input would be appreciated.

Impossible to say really on what you've said. I could only speak for soul mates as I believe genuine twin flames to be extremely rare; have little to do with romance or physical attraction. It may be best to study these encounters so you can decide for yourself. Whatever else, a twin flame involves a powerful commitment. It's too easy to swathe a potential relationship in spiritual mumbo-jumbo that comes with a lot of expectations and demands because it looks superficially good.

Your situation was also clouded by a professional relationship. You may be absolutely certain there was something in locked gazes but it could be just a doctor's manner - nervousness? a natural flirtatiousness (not professional but it happens)? or just his way with people/women? We all meet people who attract us wildly but in the fullness of time, a few encounters later what seemed magical calms down and becomes a pleasant memory piqued during a lull in our lives.

As a personal viewpoint I'd think nothing special about such an encounter - nice but without knowing someone a lot better would presume nothing.

Possible. Ask your guides for more information. If you are able to meditate even briefly that would help to "hear" them.
We have more and more twinflames incarnating together at this time. I feel if you are both here at the same time the possibilities are endless, don't limit yourself by what you read, go within. Yes, mist if these connection are romantic and spiritual.
It could have also been a catalyst, someone you might have a past life connection. A big clue is if you resemble each other although that alone is not a guarantee.
Search within, there is A LOT of misinformation by so called "experts" many of whom are not teinflames.

It’s possible but I think the problem lies in your question - “a” twin flame. I don’t think twin flames come in two’s. There is nothing like your twin flame.

We do look alike! My mom said that we look like we are related. We have the same smile, eye and hair color. We are both tall as well. One thing I forgot to mention is that when our eyes were locked it was like looking at God. I felt very vulnerable and unworthy. I had a lot of spiritual growth since then and now I do feel worthy. However he is still married and has 5 children. I would never want to come between his marriage. He is also the only man I would want to be with that has children. It's because what we shared was like love at first sight and since that day I last seen him, I know what we shared was special. I've been seeing a lot of repeating numbers and I also seen his last name on a license plate on a car in front of me! However being he is a doctor and I was just a former patient, I don't think we could ever be together. It's possible he is a soulmate catalyst. He will always be a special person to me!

You have to be careful with the idea of catalyst. It accelerates a reaction without taking any part in the outcome. In which case he will have prepared you for the possibility of a soul mate without being the one himself. You're right, a professional with 5 children is unlikely to risk his situation without very good reason. An extra-marital relation with a patient/ex-patient could get him struck off. He could be a soulmate though without necessarily being together with you. Mine is the same gender, married, nothing sexual about it. We're at each other's disposal and act as a unit when together, so it seems, but we don't live together. We've proved us both mutually supportive when needs be.

May I ask what happened that led you to believe there was love at first sight? That you were special in his life?

I'm not sure if I'm special to him. I believed it was "love at first sight" because of the way our eyes locked. It was like looking at God in his eyes. I've never had a man look at me like he did. We never got to converse about what happened because we had a professional relationship. I didn't go to my follow up appointment because it would have been awkward to see him as a patient after our eyes locked the last time we seen each other. I pretty much ran away from him and was scared after that since I felt so vulnerable and I wasn't ready for a connection like that. I had a heart awakening after seeing him that day. I had a spiritual awakening and my heart started having sensations. Like I said before he could just have been a soulmate catalyst. I'm not sure what kind of connection we had but it was just different with him.
