We Wear Each Other

We wear each other’s faces
Passing all Lights’ thoughts around.
Like autumn leaves
And rolling seas,
Soul cycles living ground.

Our dreams are one group song
Sung with communal thriving zest;
Earth fellowship as creaturehood:
With gentle strength we’re blest.

Black crow and sister wildflower
Are mixed all in our hair,
Ancient native unity
Looks through our every care.

We cannot see how love does bind
Us all to one another;
Long before we came to Earth
We cherished every other.

We seeded destiny with hope
And treasured love’s brief hours,
Until the rising burned inside
And light was freedom’s power.
Then joy of time became soul art;
Now stars watch their light flower.

Starflower, it's a joy reading this splendid verse of yours. I'm very impressed by the wisdom and clever wordplay of the 1st line of this poem. And I am especially inspired by these words: "Our dreams are one group song sung with communal thriving zest......Black crow and sister wildflower are mixed all in our hair (Explorer21---a clever line that famous Rock star Marc Bolan of T Rex fame would have appreciated immensely. He wrote song lyrics about the Universe being in his hair).......We cannot see how love does bind us all to one another."

Explorer21, your thoughtful and warmhearted comments make my day! How interesting that Marc Bolan wrote song lyrics about the Universe in his hair. I have long hair and it is part of my spiritual body. Your thoughts make me think that hair is a bridge between our aura and the exterior world. Perhaps you have heard of the Cherokee Clans. One was the Long Hair Clan and I sense that I incarnated in that group more than once.

Starflower, one of Marc Bolan's early T REX albums is entitled MY PEOPLE WERE FAIR AND HAD SKY IN THEIR HAIR (But now they're content to wear stars on their brow). One of the songs on that album is called FROWNING ATAHUALPA (MY INCA LOVE).

I agree that our hair is a bridge between the aura and the exterior world. It is wonderful that you incarnated in the Long Hair Clan of the Cherokees a few times; perhaps Marc Bolan did also.
