Most eastern masters had a master ..

I wouldn't say it's essential in the physical but there are always masters present even if it's from the other side of life .

That's been my experience anyhow and I understand the relevance / need for it ..

I had a similar experience that I won't ever forget,its probably the most real spiritual experience that I'v had but it happened when I was a sleep.I know it wasn't a dream.A wonderful loving female mother type being came to me,she put her arm around me and we floated up into the air like superman and lois lane .....we went into space and I could feel us flying through the cosmos feeling safe and loved....it was the best feeling I'v ever had and wont ever forget it....when I die I think shes going to come and collect me,,,something to look forward to on my death bed

I agree. No need for a Master, Guru, Yogi...
I must say if I got off the bus in Chicago, where I have never been, or Paris, even with a map in hand, and
someone said, "I'm from here...lemme show you the ropes. There are some side streets you should avoid
that aren't on the map...and I know some short cuts!"

I'd go for it...well, and did.
Doesn't mean I spend the rest of life with him or marry him or give him my life savings!

If you don't pay attention you'll miss it. Guess that's why I have a hard time trusting anyone

This is another limiting concept that may or may not be true
and could perpetuate someone not finding a wonderful teacher with a Swami, Yogi, Guru, Sri
in front of their name just because he ok'd an ad
in the paper saying he/she was speaking at 8 pm Saturday, donation accepted.

I saw on tv the Jews at the wailing wall in Jerusalem,A lot were overcome with emotions and love and they say even the strongest person can be reduced to tears by the wall...They say god's antenna is strongest here.
These people's emotions are triggered by being close to the wall.
Is it all within them?,,,or is the wall emitting love?


The same question can be asked of an enlightened master or a guru...Are these masters emiting love like the wall or are they triggering the emotions of people by this experience,,,the experience is sometimes expected so it will be easier to trigger emotions.

I think the gurus and the wall are triggering emotions but I also have experience of people being able to feel love from others so this goes against my trigger theory.
So I don't know whats going on.....I feel amazing love within me but have no idea if its all me or some other being or source.

Hahaha, then we have precipitates; synonyms: 'causes, triggers, sparks, hastens acceleration, provokes, touches off, instigates, leads to..."
no where does it say IT is IT....but it causes, leads to 'It'...the desired effect, being 'It'.

If I think the Wailing Wall is a bunch of hooey...I bet I wouldn't feel a thing.
But, then if I met a handsome, single Rabbi there I could go into some "altered state''!
I made all that up as an example of what we hold as 'special' that elicits an experience.

It's like the example of the dog with a bone; he keeps chewing on it because he tastes the blood from his own gums.
