Higher Selves calling for help

I have a question and hope someone can help me. I didn't know where to write it. My apologies.

I was a soldier in many life times before. I've thought about all of my astral projection experiences and with most of them, my higher self gets sent to an event where people need comfort, assistance whatever. I think since I was in the war and have met so many people throughout many life times, what if the people that are spiritually connected with me and have not met in this lifetime, were my friends in past lives?

Can people's Higher Selves call out to Spirits for help when there's a tragedy happening in their life?

My recent astral projection to an event was the Humboldt Broncos Bus Crash in Saskatchewan, Canada. I was having a nap and my spirit went inside the bus along with other Spirit Healers and comforting everyone that were inside. I remember saying "We are here to take all your pain away. It's going to be okay" I woke up that night and I couldn't move my body and very low energy. The next day, I found the Humboldt Bus Crash article online.

Although I have no personal experience in this area, my understanding is that humans have a variety of astral experiences while the body sleeps, depending on their level of advancement. Some seek entertainment, others actively work as helpers, others attend places of higher learning. It sounds as if you are working to help others.

Many years ago I read Joan Grant's autobiography where she describes her nightly experiences as a teenage girl in the First World War. She would travel to the battlefields to help those who had died to make the transition to the after-death state. There were many such helpers so your experiences are not uncommon.
