Your opening post said "...in the spirit of giving it a shot."

It seemed worth underscoring something about your "shot" that might weaken the effect. Is all.

Yes, in the spirit of jumping on board and contributing to the topic - I decided to participate and expose (if you will) something I might say privately to myself.

The issue isn't how much I do or don't appreciate your unsolicited advice. It's that you came back and told me I didn't need (is that really your place?) to affirm something critical to my being alive today. I used to drink four bottles of wine a day - every day - for years and now - tomorrow (11/11) I'll be sober for 18 months. Tomorrow is a milestone.
