Strangers/Dogs/Lifts

I dreamt there was a man in a long black coat with a black hat at my door. There was also another man who was very small and reminded of me a buddha because it seemed like he was sat against the door with his back to it half turned looking up at me. The man in black spoke to me (I can’t remember what he said) but I remember replying ‘no’ and then the small guy said, ‘have you got any rings,’ I asked what he meant and he said he needed 3 packets of shower curtain rings. I asked them both to wait where they were to stall them and I closed both doors (they were open like stable doors, both halves at the bottom were closed and the tops were open). I went to put the key in the lock to lock the doors and the lock was like a shopping trolley lock where you have to put a coin in to get the trolley out. I couldn’t put the key in as the small man had his finger over it so I moved his finger out of the way and pushed the key in quick to lock it.

Then I was upstairs in my daughters bedroom whilst she was sat on the bed on her laptop and I said ‘be careful, there are two dodgy men outside.’ There was a wrought iron fancy railing stuck into a 2ft stone wall all around the balcony outside this bedroom and I saw that the iron railing was suddenly missing so it was just stone wall. I ran out on to the balcony and looked down surprised that it actually wasn’t that high up. I said, ‘wheres the railing gone?’ and whilst looking down saw a pretty garden in two layers with a large pond in the middle. Then I was running across a large foyer filled with people trying to get to a panel on the wall that had lift buttons on it yet the lift wasn’t next to it, it was across the foyer round a corner. I saw the doors shutting to the lift and ran to catch the door which I managed. Inside the lift it was like a large room. I was only going up one floor and I felt like I was already on the first floor not the ground floor so I guess I was heading up to the second floor.

Then I was outside and a golden labrador puppy was eating a chip with ketchup on it. The puppy’s mum, a large golden labrador was next to us and I sensed she was going to attack her the puppy so I nudged it along away from her because it felt like the puppy didn’t realise she wanted the chip and I didn’t want there to be a fight. Then the mum went over to the corner, turned her back on us and lay down. I went over and rubbed her back which made her tail wag and she changed into a giant rubber looking squidgy worm, I mean she was massive. She rolled over on her back and I started tickling her belly like I would with my own dog and I said ‘oh look, she likes that, she’s happy now.’ I was more interested in what her body now felt and looked like and it was weird. I remember thinking, she has no genitals and was looking at her as I tickled her belly to see if I could see any but there were none. Then I woke up.


I gather that the dog/giant worm was both male and female but that’s all I could make sense of in this dream and even that may be wrong?

Then you are shown the garden below is multi-levelled & you rise to a higher level inside the building. And this symbolises that The Tree of Eternal Life creates realities on various levels & you choose to Rush to a higher level rather than know about the lower levels & the elves that come from there. & on the higher level you push the small dog away & focus on the sexless larger dog. This means you reject the elf which comes from below your feet & which rises into the torso & lives in your shower area or nakedness, & instead accept the formless sexless spiritual energy which just grins happily & that's about it. So basically you don't want to know the finer details & elves of the spiritual world because they come from below & involve the perception of intimacy, & you are just happy with a more simplistic & non troublesome perception/appreciation of the spiritual side

I don't understand how I'm meant to know that I'm rejecting these beings when in the dream itself. I know it's because they 'feel' wrong or odd but I can't control the dream I'm in. I feel like I'm open to learning and want to know more to progress but maybe I only think I am?

I don't understand how people go to bed dreaming of what they want because when I do that it never seems to work. My dreams seem uncontrollable to me.

I'd say this dream represents a bit of conflict in you. You are starting to open up to confronting your shadow side and partnering with your Budha side but some aspect of you is a bit wary about it all so you inform the child within to be cautious. There are generally parts of our psyche that are open to change and other aspects like our protective side that are too keen on letting the defenses drop. It's why change doesn't usually happen over night. But the defenses are coming down. You had a strong wall and gate erected but the gate is gone and a beautiful garden is blossoming. That's a good thing.

Dogs are generally seen as mans best friend. In this instance the mother wanted to attack the child for taking in some food for thought she possibly saw as a threat. You stopped her which cussed her to be upset but you are doing well in calming your inner defense response and it helps to lift any upset you are feeling. The main issue is something you are becoming more consciously aware of. The process of walking through and calming over active emotions and feelings is something you are getting a handle on. So overall a good dream showing progress but also showing there is still a bit of fear going on.
