You can be Spiritual without being Religious. Also glad you're relieved.

Jesus said: The truth will set you free.

The interesting thing is that some people feel free and relieved and lighthearted when they enter Christianity and others feel free and relieved and lighthearted when they exit it.

So, the question is: why?

Well, the truth sets people free. In some cases, when people convert to Christianity, the feel like they found the truth. In other cases, those who exit Christianity feel like they have found the truth.

In my case, I felt free when I left.

We all have belief systems which "set us free" (some are religious and some are non-religious). So it's like people jump from one train onto another.

Yes so true, but I do think that most who join a church join because there is something going on in their life, and the church is something that can help them get through it all, something to believe in. So a church can be like a hospital for the so called sinner or down trooden, but just like a hospital one leaves when one is feeling better, unlike an old peoples home where you stay until you die.

So true, and I've found one is not better than the other. One is not inferior to the other like preachers and gurus would have you believe. We're all human, and our minds are programmed to think very highly of ourselves compared to others.
