Many, if not most, television shows and movies about ghosts & "hauntings"
are so far from accurate depictions they are almost borderline mockeries.

Not just the actions of said entities,
but moreso, our reactions to them.

Why the fear? The cruelty? The demonizing of such spirits?

They are just souls just like each & every one us that for whatever reason have
difficulty passing through / in the process of doing so.
Should we not care for them as we would any other entity.

I agree totally! Many times they portray ghosts....or Spirits as being evil or malevolent....when in most cases the Spirit just wants to get their message out! Spirits work on Sensitive people in numerous ways, so they may take a feeling the wrong way.
Very few spirit wish to harm the living! Higher vibration spirits have many more methods of communication than of lower level spirits, so it may just be that the Spirit isn't able to be clear in its communication!

Lynn, what I find interesting about your post, is I have been told many many times that "they" cannot hurt you, or physically harm you. Yet, I have had my bed hit from directly underneath with me on it, asleep...

My bed has also been made to shake, whilst on it. Or sway, to the point I am woozy, once I called out to Arch Angel Michael (with the last bed issue) it stopped, and the bad feeling gone.

It stopped instantaneously, as soon as I called out.
