At first there was a lot of tingling but it dissapeared rather quickly and I got up from bed... having wasted that lucid dream.

I have quite a few of lucid dreams and it would be easier to exploit this if I can. If I could get some feedback on this it would help a lot.
This is the common misconception about projecting...

In what you call a "lucid dream" (which, btw is the same thing as an OBE), you're ALREADY projecting. When someone says they had an "OBE", all they're saying is that they projected in an environment which looked like this physical reality. That's all.

Since you're already projecting in a "lucid dream", just put your focus into experiencing this physical reality instead. It's only a shift in perception away.

For myself, I've ditched all the labels people use ("lucid dream", "astral projection", "OBE", etc) as they don't help and only confuse the situation. Your question alone proves that point perfectly.

A "projection" is any experience you consciously have in a reality which you identify as not being this physical reality. The rabbit hole actually goes much deeper than that, but that's a good starting point. :)

50% possibility of Astral travel in lucid dreams.

This goes along with what I was going to say. I discovered years ago that there's really not much different between types of projection dreams for me. No matter which "type" I want to enter, it starts as what most refer to as a lucid dream or expanded consciousness. The difference is in choosing where to go. Often, I stick to the places I start in because the dreams involve walking in a sacred place with someone meaningful to me and I don't want to change that. But, if you do, just try to envision where you want to be. The only caution I give is that, at least in my experience, if I get into one of these states too close to the time I need to wake up, my consciousness will try to wake, but I'll be trapped in sleep paralysis for a couple of minutes, which can be extremely jolting. So, try to leave yourself enough time or pick a night when you don't have a set time you have to be awake the next day. It's a little less intense that way.

Yea you can do this, you can like jump out of your lucid dream into an astral projection, when you are dreaming if you realize you are dreaming it then becomes lucid, you then have control, then from there using your intention you can go astral.

my first projection was as a child, and it was through a lucid dream (also my first).

it left me very confused and isolated for a long time because at that time, i had no one to talk to about it.

I talked to them anyway and they:
1. knew nothing about it
2. thought i was weird.
3. i was a kid so i didn't know how to relate to my family (who wasn't interested in spiritual things at all, whatsoever).

it created rapid and uncomfortable development of my energy body. rather than developing it slowly and getting the buzzing, humming, vibrations, etc., it felt like my body was being pulled through shards of glass.

Lucid dreaming, obe, astral projection are all the same state, excepting where you are focused on the consciousness dimension.

To move from one to another you just have to change your focus by wishing it with conviction and expectation of happening.
