Invesigating the claims of purported alien 'contactee' Alex Collier

Youtube Video entitled: 'Alex Collier Alien Structures on Moon and Mars 1996 Presentation' - Lets take a look at some of his claims:

27:29 Alex here claims that the Aurora Borealis is caused by electrons coming from inside the Earth's core and breaking up into Light. Actually the Northern Lights are the result of collisions between gaseous particles in the Earth's atmosphere with charged particles released FROM the sun. Auroras are normally confined to polar regions because they follow the lines of magnetic force generated by the earth's core and flow through the magnetosphere.

26:57 ''We are told that the gravity of our Planet has to do with it's rotation. According to the 'Andromedan's' and their 'science' the radiation from the Sun is what causes gravity.''

First, it's quite incorrect to state that the Earth's gravity is caused by it's rotation. If this was the case then we would find a massive variation in the gravitational field from the equator to the poles! Fortunately Science does NOT hold that view but insists that Gravity is a universal property of all objects. The force of gravity is related to the earth's MASS, not its rotation. If it weren't for gravity, the spinning of the earth would cause us all to fly off into space, not stick to the earth. 

1:50:17 ''Human consciousness is not in the brain, but is located, IN IT"S ENTIRETY, in the energy field and aura. This is the 1 1/2 to 5 ounces that the body loses at death. THAT's who you are! That's the ONLY part of you that is REALLY you!''

The origin of the weight loss figure can be traced to Duncan MacDougall, a doctor working in Haverhill, Massachusetts in the early 1900s. MacDougall had a keen fascination with death and spent part of his career on an almost obsessive hunt for evidence of the soul. MacDougall set out to test his theory with what was an excruciatingly bad experiment. In all, MacDougall managed to recruit a mere six dying people for his study. In turn, each was tucked up in his modified bed and their weight monitored until some minutes after their death. Any bowel movements or urination at death were fine, at least so far as the experiment was concerned, as it all stayed on the bed. At the end MacDougall declared that humans lost up to three-fourths of an ounce upon death, or 21g, which is the metric equivalent. Despite the poor accuracy of his scales, the huge variability in his data, and the all-too-few people studied, MacDougall's experiment was also frustrated by the tricky skill of pinpointing the exact time of death. Today we know that the loss of weight is due to simple biological mechanisms.

The electromagnetic spectrum is the term used by scientists to describe the entire range of light that exists. The EM spectrum extends infinitely in either direction, up past the super-high frequency gamma rays and down past sub-hertz frequency radio waves. There is probably a practical limit to the frequency range of radiation because it's unlikely that any radio waves, for example, with a wavelength larger than the breadth of the universe could exist within the limiting confines of 'our' universe. Could there be other universes in which such waves could exist? Possibly. However, I mention this to demonstrate the ridiculous statement that our 'physicality' ONLY HAS 72 colours, or light frequencies! Even a figure of a billion light frequencies would be erroneous! In the continuous model of space-time, there are truly infinite wavelengths of radiation and even in the discrete model, there is a finite number that is still very, very large (effectively infinite)! 

1:57:03 ''This is the Andromedan definition of our future - us, as a race. Responsible freedom of self-determination. Becoming truly self-confident and free to unconditionally be self-responsible for oneself, without being coerced to accept some higher authority.''

First, this is NOT a definition of our future?! It's a definition of ideology. Subtle difference but true. Secondly, ''becoming truly self-confident'' is a part of Alex's ideology. The Nazi regime was very self-confident, as indeed are many psychopaths! In many ways these individuals were following the path of self-determination and didn't like the idea of being 'coerced' by higher authority! Their authority was actually far lower than themselves because they acted with the 'sanction and authority' of the Third Reich - a similar manifestation of misinformed ideology based on ignorance and fear. So, basically, this is what the 'Andromedan's' want for us on Earth.....! Not a very evolved picture of mankind's future prospects! A better definition of our Future would be one based on 1) SELFLESS SERVICE FOR THE WORLD, AS A WHOLE, IN ORDER TO EVOLVE ALL LIFE CLOSER TO THE DIVINE SOURCE FROM WHICH WE CAME....or 2) continued limitations caused by the self-imposed ignorance of mankind. Which would you choose? This is the REAL choice we have to make.

Of course, this is nonsense but he continues!

''Because, again, it is not the rotation but the Sun's radiations that creates gravity.''

Well, science does't believe that gravity is caused by the rotation either and surely not by the 'sun's rays' which would be even more outlandish! It's equally bewildering because he stated earlier at 31:00 that the Moon has more gravity on the far side, which is always in darkness! However, he adds that it must be true because, ''This is what they (the Andromedan's) say!'' I can prove quite easily that MANY of the purported 'truths' by the 'andromedan's' are false and therefore, if this is acceptable to the common sense, as Alex says, we should therefore regard ALL the teachings from Alex and his 'contacts' as fake, or at best, incorrect, and subsequently detach ourselves from these and be safe.

38:14 Alex: ''Now isn't it interesting that we're told that the craters (on the Moon) were created by meteorite impacts...and yet you have full fledged mountains in the dead centre of these craters. Many of them even higher than the crater walls. Folks, that's just not possible!.''

Actually it is! Unlike the Earth, the Moon has no atmosphere to protect itself from impacting bodies. It also has very little geologic activity (like volcanoes) or weathering (from wind or rain) so craters remain intact from billions of years. Complex craters have a well defined central peak and often a terraced rim; this central peak is brought up from great depths beneath the crater as the ground elastically rebounds after the shock and pressure of the asteroid, or meteor, impact. These sorts of impacts happened on Earth, too - but the erosion caused by terrestrial weather removes all traces of their presence. In fact, of all the different types of craters so far discovered these complex craters are THE MOST COMMON ones in the solar system! Regarding the central peals: these can be extremely tall by any standards, on Earth, however not so surprising when you realise that the moon only has one sixth of the Earth’s gravity as well as other geomorphological processes going on like volcanism which can be precipitated by crater fracturing and so forth. Also, not all central peaks within the craters are central!

34:15 ''According to the Andromedan's all the Planet's in our Solar system have pyramids on them....from the Andromedan perspective these are weights to balance the rotation of the Planet.''

I have a question! Does the gas giant Jupiter have a giant pyramid on it? What about Saturn, Uranus or Neptune? I'm just curious as to how the aliens made their footings!

Also note that any shift in any object’s mass on the Earth relative to its axis of rotation will change its moment of inertia, although most shifts are too small to be measured (but they can be calculated). Even the Three Gorges Dam at it's maximum water level and raising some 42 billion tons of water 175 meters above sea level would increase the length of day by only 0.06 microseconds. The Great Pyramid by contrast would weigh 6,000,000 tons....far, far lighter than the Three Gorges Dam at full capacity. It would be COMPLETELY MEANINGLESS to build any structure large enough, and limited to one spot only, to counter the shifting mass on the Earth because it's ALWAYS changing with the movement of land, continental plates, ocean currents, earthquakes and even micro-flora, and so forth, which would be far greater than anything we could make artificially. It would be like building an artificial pimple on the face of an Olympic athlete in order to slow him down! Surely wind direction would be greater than a pimple!

Let's come back to this statement again because we could examine this from a different perspective. While the Universe contains wavelengths of light that range from many meters long (radio waves) down to ultra-energetic, high frequency gamma-rays (with wavelengths as small as a single proton), it’s only light ranging from about 400 nanometers to a little over 700 nanometers that provides us with the light visible to our human eyes. How many distinct frequencies can a photon have in the frequency range visible to humans? Since most humans have three separate types of cones (making us trichromats), a total of 1 million colors are discernable to a typical human! Far, far greater than Alex's 72, or even '5th density's 214'! Some humans are born without one of the three types of cones, creating a condition known as color blindness; color blind (dichromat) humans can only see 10,000 distinct colours! On the other hand, some humans have four distinct types of cones, making them tetrachromats and allowing them to distinguish up to 100 million separate colours!

1:49:35 ''I don't know if you are aware of this but; for every 2 years that passes - military technology advances 44 years.''

This is another meaningless, and quite incorrect, statement from Alex Collier. Firstly, the military-industrial complex cannot possibly advance 44 years within a 2 year span. Very basic maths will tell you that this is not possible unless they have mastered time-travel! Secondly, the premise of this statement is based on the assumption that Alex has a means to measure such 'advances' in a predetermined manner. Unfortunately, Alex forgets to reveal his standard measurement of military technological advancement. So, again, the statement is meaningless. Does he use a Quantitative or Qualitative Measurement here? Thirdly, the statement assumes that the military technological 'advancement' can ONLY be measured in terms of a logarithmic curve. However, we already know that such technology improves both exponentially AND logarithmically. It would be, at least, more correct to say that the TREND of military technology is exponentially 'advancing' in comparison to civilian technological progress based on some clearly defined source and system of measurement. Fourthly, the statement also ignores the existence of accelerating change in technology which suggests faster and more profound changes in the future.

39:05 ''I believe, and I'm told, that this is what is left of one of Richard's domes...this is what's left of it. As you can see there is a shiny spot with glass in, and that's what this is, right here.''

Or it might be there result of volcanic processes! The Moon lacks plate tectonics and so preserves evidence of it's very long volcanic activity. Basin forming impacts by asteroids stripped away low-density upper crustal materials to allow dense basaltic magmas to erupt onto the surface. The flatness of the deposits is due to the low viscosity of the lava. In fact, in the picture you can clearly see the evidence of layering consistent with changes in flow rate, temperature and changes in viscosity due to effusion rate.

39:57 ''What's very interesting about this area here, and this, is how nice and sharp this crater is. Look at the corners here. Very nice and sharp.''

Yes, in 1996, this would have been a novelty however today we know that out there in our Solar System on some of our moons, craters and other features are not round but polygon-shaped, usually with six sides. Like the one in the picture still at 40:15. We know that the straight rim segments often tend to be parallel to tectonic features in the surrounding areas. On Earth, polygon-shaped areas, with the edges formed by faults, are common in fine-grained deep-sea sediments. Some of the best examples of these polygon-fault areas are found in the North Sea and the Norwegian Sea. This is a well-known phenomenon in fluid dynamics and can even be seen in hurricanes, permafrost, mud, the Giant's Causeway in Ireland, salt crusts and so on. Ice wedge polygons are one of the most common ground patterns in the Arctic. Definitely interesting for sure but not evidence of extra-terrestrial engineering.

Paleontological data directly reveals the periodicity of the tides using tidal rhythmites, also known as tidally laminated sediments which have been found on every continent in the world except Antarctica. These rhythmics occur in deposits associated with tide-dominated deltas, embayments and estuaries and since these tides are generated by the gravitational forces of the Moon, and to a lesser degree by the Sun, we know that the Moon has been in orbit of Earth for many MILLIONS OF YEARS! Geologically we know that the Moon caused daily high tides in our ancient past when aligned with the Sun and Earth. Conversely, we know that the low tides occurred when the Sun and Moon were at right angles to the Earth. We also know that ancient Earth experienced Spring Tides during a full or new Moon, along with neap tides, when the Moon was at quarter phases.

Alex should look up Cellular differentiation in which simple Cells change their size, shape, and internal structures through Gene Expression. We also have Cellular Adaption in response to environmental changes. We also have Cell Signalling which is really cell-to-cell interaction which co-ordinate cell formation and organisation. All of these can be scientifically proved! Some of these specialised cells developed a symbiotic relationship with one another to form more complex creatures and so it is with higher and higher order of species. That's evolution.

12:25 ''They (the andromedan's) say that it (the Moon) came from Ursa Minor. It was built and put into the tail of a comet and was dragged here (into our Solar System).''

WHY would 'they' go to all the trouble to built a gigantic space-craft, with it's OWN motive power, only to leave it in the tail of comet to be dragged here??? That aside, WHY the Tail of a comet considering that would serve no obvious purpose to me! Why use a comet at all if it can travel by Itself? Why would an 'advanced race' even use a very slow means of travel in the first place? It would have taken them almost a hundred years to get here at the speed of light - but at the speed of the quickest recorded Comet (375 km/s) that would have taken tens of thousands of years!

Actually the Moon DOES rotate! If you stood on the Moon, the stars would rise and set, just like they do on Earth, except that a lunar day is a month long, the same as the Moon's orbital period. The Moon rotates at just the right speed so that it always keeps one face pointed toward the Earth. And, for the record, the Moon is not unique! Almost ALL moons in the Solar System keep one face pointed toward their planet. The reason behind this is known as tidal friction.

Hang on, didn't Alex state that it was the SUN'S RADIATION WHICH CAUSED GRAVITY! Anyway - this statement is meaningless! We already know and can prove - gravity is related to the mass of any object, irrespective of whether it's 29.3 miles or not. Atoms have gravity, as do molecules, tissues, organs of the body, continents, planets and galaxies. It's universal! Even space, Itself, has gravity!

39:43 ''Check this area, here. Apparently these are 'hangers' inhabited by human beings from Earth.''

More impact craters and rock formations which Alex claims are 'hangers!' Obviously NASA forgot to airbrush these out and even decide to place their top-secret 'hanger' on the near side of the Moon so it could be easily monitored by terrestrial observers, not to mention the hundreds of school observatories and scientific observatories easily accessible to the public!

1:20:48 By December 2013 (a default from 1994!) the '3rd density' will move into '5th density' according to the Andromedan's! According to Alex ''But, I don't know how many are going to make it!''

As it turns out we didn't become telepathic, clairvoyant or able to manifest our thoughts into actual physical objects as prophesied! And, it's all business as usual! Yet he still has a platform!
