Messages

I am not sure this belongs in the section channeling, if not I apologize upfront.
Hopefully I can make myself understandable because explaining things is not my strong point.
As of late I am getting what I can describe best as a voice/message and I have no idea from who or if it is my higher self.It comes through so unexpectantly that I need to stop whatever I am doing.It feels like a smack on the head but inside my head.There is after the messages or voice an urge to write things down.This varies from words to letter written to someone I do not know.When I get these messages I 'feel' someone next to me.The messages feel like screams to me, like someone is pulling me towards them/him/her to make me aware of something I need to do.There is also an urge to, when I write, to put a name to the one I am writing to.I am a little bit at a loss and also excited though.Who is this? Is this my higher self or something else?

I channel and I know others who do as well. It does sound like channeling, in the automatic writing sort of way, but I have never heard of the experience of the "screams" and "someone pulling me towards them/him/her".

When I channel, I always put myself in that space first, by surrounding myself with a bubble of white light and asking for protection from my guides.

I can speak to my guides without doing that, but it still has never felt like that.

I'm wondering if a "lower level" entity is speaking to you. I have heard they will mess with you. When you open yourself up to channeling, at first anyway, it's like you light up in the room and you are now "shiny", and there's nothing that can hurt you, but I would surround yourself with the white light of the holy spirit and ask it questions. Ask if it is from the light, and if it isn't, send it packing. Your higher self / guides / etc, will feel like Love with a capital L, and they don't scream. My higher self feels the same way, very loving.

Just some thoughts. You might also post this in the Mediumship section. Sounds more like something like that to me.

It does not feel like love, it feels like someone is poking me.When I get to so called poke, thoughts come up and I feel like writing.When I am done with the writing and read it back, it feels like they are my thoughts on a situation I am currently in.But then doubt sets in and I wonder if what I wrote is actually true.

You might try a book called, Learning to Channel, by Sanaya Roman.. She explains in detail most of what you would encounter when channeling. It is a wonderful read - highly recommend it. I am sure there are others, though, so you might google it and see what feels right for you.

There are a lot of channelers on you tube too, so you can get some ideas on what types of information comes through, although a lot of it differentiates between channelers, a lot of it is the same, spoken differently. Same source, difference channel vibes.
