Big cats little cats

I don’t get the understanding of the dream I had. I dreamt I was in a lion’s den that I felt was in my home (kitchen). There were gates, which help keep the lions from getting out, in my kitchen and they kept opening. In my dream I started panicking. Then one of the Cubs came out and clenched my wrist with it’s teeth. I tried to pull my wrist and it started bleeding so I had to keep hitting the cub to let me go as it started to hurt. When I broke loose, the lion’s ‘den’ with the lions and the cub disappeared!!!! I was in my kitchen and when I looked up, I saw my black cat Felix with another black cat that I started to pet. I don’t know but for some reason, I saw them as angels to me... like I got protected by them somehow because they were watching over me. Now I know lions can represent strength or aggression but I am not so sure as I was feeling scared in the dream. Any feedback would help!

the kitchen is where food is prepared for consumption; metaphorically, it might
symbolize where thoughts are constructed, which are to be ingested and form
the basis for what a thinker is to become. (you are what you eat.)
that your wrist was clenched by the cub may be drawing your attention to your
'manipulative' capabilities; your ability to create thought constructions for later
consumption may be in question (why do you make the 'food' that you do?).
the lions seem to represent a latent power that you've kept caged up... but you
are no longer able to suppress that energy (the gates keep opening of their
own accord).
mastering your fear impulse, through self-trust, knowing that your intentions
are geared towards the benefit of all seems to be the 'life-lesson' that you're
currently involved with. the lions are an intrinsic force within your being, and
they work for you. they are a life affirming energy which stands guard.

For me at the moment Lions represent my passions in life, to let them loose and fearlessly follow my Hearts desires. Maybe you have dreams you are not following, and doing so might scare you a bit?
