Anger and hatred must be replaced gradually
There are countless of new age messages saying that they must be replaced entirely by unconditional love and forgiveness.
In my opinion, these feelings still have a purpose on this planet.
They don't represent our dark side, but our primitive side. I prefer to use the word primitive because they might have been necessary in primitive ages.
Yes, unconditional love and forgiveness are wonderful but in order to achieve that, you need to eliminate anger and hatred gradually until you don't need them anymore. It's hard to explain what I mean by "gradually."
For example, one someone is in a very low level of consciousness like for instance being suicidal, that one cannot replace his or her anger and hatred with unconditional forgiveness. They must gradually replace it. They can still express their anger or hatred but they must let go eventually.
Forgiveness means realizing that it's pointless to feel hatred for what happened in the past. It's better to let go, to for-give. Forgiveness is not something you do for others. It's something you do for yourself.

Some people are so hurt by what they have been through.anger is in the forefront of their mind.a lot of things are said and done in anger,
getting rid of it is not so easy to do,
I dislike certain people especially those who pray on others, and treat them as they are beneath them,
to get rid of that anger and hatred firstly needs Forgiveness. forgiving someone is easy.but forgetting is the hardest part.
only through time will you find peace.

Spiritualll and Native spirit,
Thank you both for your encouraging words. God is speaking through you to me, and to everyone who reads this thread and is touched by it.
I don't want to get into the exact details of what I've been through, but in the past I was very badly attacked, and it's taken me many years to overcome the pain and anger.
I'm finally getting better though, after working on myself and searching for answers, and I read your posts at just the right time I needed to.
