Undertaking formal studies in philosophy
I was always thoughtful both in terms of being considerate and in the articulation of ideas, and I've read bits and bobs of philosophy from both Western and Eastern schools. I have never take a formal study, except perhaps in Buddhist philosophy during my meditation retreats, which were numerous and sometimes lengthy.
I have enrolled in a philosophy subject at university called "Reality, Beauty and Ethics". It is, of course, based in Western paradigms and refers back to famed figures such as Aristotle, Aquinas, Hume, Kant and others.
I wanted to have more casual conversations that allow for broader perspectives about the sorts of subjects raised in my classes at school and was just wondering if there are other philosophical scholars besides myself on this forum?
