I agree, and therefore distinguish between consciousness and awareness; everything,
in my opinion, is conscious but consciousness does express itself in various forms of selective awareness.
Just because we are not aware of something does not mean it does not exist, and even all that we may
be aware of does not exist either; regardless, we are said to be “unconscious” of that particular thing
which we are not aware of, but just because we are unconscious of it does not mean it does not exist.
It took decades for me to become aware of my own deeper being even though that deeper being was
consciously at work within me all the while. Unconsciousness deals more with awareness than
consciousness does; probably because awareness is germane to consciousness.
The thing is we talk about these things as though they were something a part from us, like they are
out there somewhere, when the universe, God, consciousness, etc., are closer and more intimate to
us then the nose on our very face.
