Magnesium and L-Theanine for healing/easing anxiety and depression

So I've been taking magnesium to aid with battling off depression, and l-theanine for my anxiety. They both work wonders for my mood. I have to say the l-theanine has worked the greatest as I still have depressive episodes, though they do not last nearly as long. l-theanine has basically eradicated all symptoms of anxiety, and the best part? It works well with coffee!! I <3 coffee. In articles online it says that when taken with caffeine, it allow you to feel the cognitive boosting effects without the jitters and negative side effects of coffee.

Another thing, l-theanine has made my dreams a ton more vivid, and even somewhat lucid. (it's also recommended for people trying to lucid dream!)

The only thing I don't like is the magnesium makes me a little sleepy during the day for about 3 to 4 hours after I take it.

I also read in an article that magnesium is not usually tested for in blood tests, and thus, a lot of people with depression don't know that it could be a magnesium deficiency.

Has anyone else tried it? What do you think of l-theanine? I'm looking into getting the suntheanine brand. Supposedly it's more digestable and works a lot better than regular l-theanine. How does it help your mood?
