@OctoberSky you're not the only one who feels drawn to certain animals. As a Child I grew up with Rottweilers I had two of them they were siblings named Bone & Ebony they passed away though. When I was 12 I gotten my first cat He was. An Russian blue named Swiper, but he ran away because of my bad pet owning I let him outside and usually he would wait on the porch when I got home from school. But one day he wasn't there...... I learned that lesson of letting your cat go outside. Sorry for rambling but I miss my animals, anyway If I could incarnate as a animal it would be a Wild Big Cat such as Cheetah, or Caracal. I always felt drawn to Big Wild cats I guess because I feel a connection with them and Africa. I hate that hunters keep killing them for their pelts and they are on the verge of the endangered list.

Like others have posted, i believe that our soul evolves and once it has attained the human spiritual status then we cannot go backwards, only forwards.
I also agree with knightofalbion that when an animal has learnt all it's lessons it's next incarnation will be in a human form.

But we can choose what we wanna be right? Like pre-birth planning. You choose what lifetime you wanna be in. So why can't anyone choose to be a wolf or cat or monkey or a dolphin? Almost sounds like you're saying that animals are lower than us and aren't as intelligent because they are very intelligent and also every living thing on this planet has a purpose. I just don't feel right about the thought that we can't choose to be a animal in a next life after being a human. Like lets say you were planning for a next life and you're gonna be a dog or some other pet for the other person because they decided they weren't going to have any kids or a husband so they picked to have a dog or a cat to keep them company and to help them learn something they need to learn. As for example like responsibility, or patience, or unconditional love, or to be loyal.

I agree with you about the idea of "once a human, always a human" as the thinking here seems to be. Our Oversoul/Higher Spirit is not limited that way, so why should we limit our thinking similarly? If our Higher Self wants to have a nonhuman life, it will. No amount of us saying "Oh, it can't do that!" will stop it

You may also be having more than one life as a wolf for it to be as strong as it is for you in this life, OctoberSky. That doesn't mean that you've had only wolf lives leading up to this one, only that many of your Other Lives (past, present/concurrent, future) are of wolves. We are affected by all of our other lives and it's our choice whether to allow such characteristics and emotions to come through or not.

I believe a few people incarnate as an animal and a few animals reincarnate as a human . There is the story of Jason , he has memories of have been a horse . He's been on coast to coast a few times .

Exactly who/what is authorized to grant 'spiritual status'? Or regulate what incarnations are allowed? What does that mean anyway?

What is 'forwards' or 'backwards' to a spirit? Is there some kind of goal, standard, or plan for spirits?

lol, I guess starting out as a starfish, small bug or mouse would all be easy lifes to start of with then you'd take on more advanced lifes as you learn your lessons or do what ever you came to do.

Also I don't see why if you feel like becoming a being that you were once before again u can't, it might be pointless though an i don't think that souls can go from a ordinary duck straight into a all knowing extraterrestrial being aswell.

I think when it comes to *incarnating* there is a process. In the other realms you could probably experience being other species for a while and gain experience that way.. I don't think it's so linear. But in the physical world you wouldn't really survive as a human if you've only been a starfish before. First you might be a starfish, and then a mouse, and then a bird, then maybe a cat (which would have first hand experience with humans), and then a human (to put it broadly). But, if you wanted to you could live life as a cat again. I'm sure I've been incarnated into higher extraterrestrial lifeforms before but I decided to be reborn as a human this time. Which is why I say that you don't stay one species for eternity. I mean, that sounds kinda boring? I'd love to be a cat, their lives are so cushy

I dont believe that incarnations and life of soul is something determined, like a gigantic machine. Maybe there is something like "most souls do that way", but I dont believe everyone gothat way.
I have been a shark, it is still my spirit guide animal, and mybe I will be a shark again, maybe in different realm.
If human soul can be human on different planets, different realms and planes, why there cant be shark-like creatures on different planets, different realms?
