What sort of meditation are you referring to here?
There are so many meditations and what one calls meditating one calls relaxing lol .
Is there a reason why you want to know about past lives?
It is interesting for sure and many I dare say would want to know this about themselves.
What happened for me is that my meditations were built upon an intent to have peace in myself and within my life after a time of suffering.
The pull was so strong in me to go within that it became a major part in my daily life and still is to this day .
What automatically came forward for me was past life energies that were needed to be healed .. It's not as straightforward as it seems because one doesn't know or understand why certain feelings, emotions and images that come forward .
It took me a good year to come to terms with a past life after feeling unworthy of love for 3 years prior and it took me another 3 years for the energy to be transmuted ..
To accept and own what one did as another personality 500 years ago takes a lot to get your head around .
Other lifetimes became known that reflects in my interests and talents so to speak in this life time, for many there is union of oneself that reflects a combined experience of life times had .
It a real deep subject to be honest and I am sure it's possible for what happened to me to happen to everyone else to certain degrees depending on ripeness, intent and dedication .
What seems to happen is that what is required at the right time eventually rears it head naturally .
