I suffer from schizophrenia so I look forward to that day of mental peace - dead or alive.

Yes I think I am. But I was kind of asked that once by an unseen person/voice when I was going out of body. And all I could think of was the bond I have with the land where I live, so from that I gathered that I am not ready to leave yet.

No, why would I look forward to death? I'm accepting of it, but I definitely have a lot to experience! If you are looking forward to death then maybe you are not creating or cultivating a life worth living. You can create this kind of life that makes you have to work and use imagination.

Death is something we should accept and not fear. I know it will happen and I will be relieved because life at times is a battle, especially with how humanity is devolving at present.

Everyone will die once. So that's a bad question.
It depends mainly on what will happen next. For this reason was ancient mysteries (see Elusinians, Egyptians, Orfic...and many others), many ways of yoga, a paths of various mystics and magicians .......etc

It'll happen whenever it's supposed to. I'm fine with that :)

I have no fear. I like to think that they're the living and we're the dead.

Death is just a transformation
If there is life after death, then it is probable that there is a continuity of our consciousness and we will become aware of our inner divine self for awhile. If there is no life after death, then there is no continuity of consciousness and life loses all meaning. During our life we have a brain and our senses which allow us awareness of our thoughts, feelings and environment. After death the awareness changes because the brain is dead as are the bodily senses. But let's hope there is an ongoing awareness which must be a function of more subtle parts of our being. Our astral body is what we use when we dream at night, and I believe that after physical death our consciousness transfers into our astral body. Death is really nothing but a dream, but the dream depends on what kind of behavior we engaged in during our life. We will all face our worst nightmare after we die, but it won't be an eternal damnation. It might feel like eternal damnation because time behaves differently outside of the physical dimension. But the nightmares will transition into happy dreams as our hell morphs into our heaven. And then that too will cease when God taps us on the shoulder and points us to our next family for our next incarnation, where hopefully we will become more loving, giving and sharing with our fellow humans.

I'm trying to make my time on earth good, trying to grow spiritually in this very large world, and I genuinely enjoy my life here, but I'm not afraid to die and look forward to the time I can return home.

Whilst I'm not quite ready to reach the 'Game Over' sign yet, if it happens suddenly, and am suddenly there, starting my journey... I think I will be so happy its over. Just don't want to go through the pain bit first. If I could choose between:
a) Within a year, suddenly transitioning unexpected with no pain.
b) In 10 years, having a short illness and dying with some pain, or
c) In 20 years, getting some awful cancer or dementia and taking another 5 years to die.
I think I would choose A. I'm 45.
