Being clairvoyant, how do you get any rest?

As a child every once in a while I would see a shadow figure, hear my name called, and had a few out of body experiences I can recall. At the age of 33 on December 28th 2012 I had a unexpected kundalini awakening during a meditation. So ever since then I've become extra sensitive. I can feel other peoples energy. I see entities, sometimes with my eye's open but usually when drifting off to sleep and entering theta. I also hear them, sometimes it's one word and other times it's a full sentence. I go out any where shopping etc and I have a brand new set of entities to deal with. However that hasn't been the worst of it. Has anyone else had to deal with something similar? If so how did you get to the point where you could get some rest and well maybe even be left alone?

Since it is exhausting, you'll figuratively pass out more than rest. That's the...easy way, I suppose, technically easy because it's just running the natural course, but it can count as the hard way because it sucks.

Otherwise...grounding, balance...wish I could be more detailed than that, but the way you find both might be different than the way that I find both. You could find a way to tune out of these experiences at will (grounding), or find a way to keep on with these experiences but not get drained by them (shields and wards).

The only tuning out I can really do it by listening to music while falling asleep. However the music only works some of the time. I still see entities and have visions via my third eye though. It can get quite tiring I honestly would just like to go back to sleeping undisturbed. I miss getting 8 hours of sleep... I'm told all of this happened because of past lives. I'm not sure what to think though?

Hello Bodhi Spirit,

Try to think of your visuals and voices like a tv program, you have the controls ... if you want to go for a good night's sleep without interference, switch the controls to off saying something like " I need a good night's sleep , please save your conversations and messages for me at another time " ( mentioning another time that is better for you) and see how it works. You can also do something similar if the volume of your messages is too loud, ask whoever to turn down the volume .

I am the same well except i dont see them, i did wen i was young all i have seen is white mist. Its funny i had my awakening when i was 33 and iv herd a few others having it at this age. I was taught at spiritual church that its like you have a light on ur head and some shine brighter thn others so spirits will go to the brighter ones. They told me to imagine ur putting out the light by blowing on it and wen it goes out imagine your covering it with a hankie or something like that. It seemed to work for me as i was always sensing someone round me i only get my guides and my nana.

Thank you all for you responses. I've tried all of these things but with only a small amount of success. I've tried the "I need rest so if you could please be quiet." I've also tried visualizing a light on my head being turned down until it was off and then covering it. I've been told it's because of psychic door ways. I've also been told that an awakening of this sorts happens because the person mastered some sort of spiritual art in a past life. I'm not sure what to think about that one though.

My sister actually taught herself to see and tune in and all of those things when she was little, and recently decided to turn it off. She had that same problem though a few years ago, when didn't know how to turn it off. It is like a switch in your mind, but you'll have to find and toy around with your mind to see what works, and I will ask her for more details on the switch, because when I turn mine on, its usually panic from what I see that turns it off (well... my spiritual sibling turned it off) again.
Anyhow, me being mad scientist of spirit world I was (and still am sometimes), I had to create a solution. So I visualized glasses and ear muff that blocked out all of that stuff, that could be taken on and off. And it worked really well for her. You can also program certain things like your pajamas to put out a shield until you fall asleep to prevent them from disturbing you. For me, personally, it doesn't bother me, but it bothers my sister so I have a mailbox made from me visualizing one for anyone to leave notes and things in, and a basket of energy for them to use (because I'm a healer) among other things to help out anyone without an emergency. Of course, I still get visits, but not nearly as many. So my advice would be to create things so they don't disturb you without a really good reason, play with visualizing tools that can help you, and to actually listen and interact too, because you can make lifelong friends and discover some of your soul's history sometimes too that way. I've counted on some spirit friends along with faes/elementals/etc for help in the past with many healings or assisting with reaching some other being I needed to reach, or given others a chance to interact with them as well so they could start their own journey in a safe environment too :)

my spiritual teacher uses silk that he wraps around his head at night for that. maybe it will work for you.
