Raul Malo
The other night I was flipping thru the tv channels and heard some music which caught my attention. It was Raul Malo, singer, songwriter - guitar player. The songs he played/ sang that night - I only heard two as it was the end of the program, were kind of latino, jazzy combination.
I am probably not using the right word, when I say jazzy ... I don't mean jazz music, I don't like jazz and I don't want anyone not to take the opportunity to listen to this singer, because they think he is a jazz musician. His songs do sound romantic, and his voice I would have to say, is also romantic.
I had heard his song " Hello again " on the radio, months earlier ... a sign " singing to me " .. but that is another story 
Anyways I decided I needed one of his cds and got the one called " Lucky One " .Excellent !!
My favorite songs so far are " Hello Again " and " Lucky One ".
In a way, he kind of reminds me of Roy Orbison, but add a little jazzy zip to the singing.
Give a listen and let me know what you think !
