I'd like your opinion

Very often in the millisecond just before I wake up, and always in that time frame, I hear a very distinct and often loud noise or voice. Sometimes it is a loud bang, sometimes it is a voice; usually male shouting 'Hey!' And so on. I have attributed this sometimes to the fact that I have over slept and either my brain is letting me know this or someone passed on doing me a favor. Let me state that I never hear voices in my head otherwise or hallucinate so I can rule out Schizophrenia. But when I cannot come to a logical reason for this happening I wonder if it is just the brain firing off impulses that don't mean a thing.
I will add one more thing and this is based on what I have read that every time each one of us goes to sleep our souls leave the body. Ever woke up thinking that you are falling over and you feel your foot or leg reach out to catch yourself. That is what is called a crash landing and is caused, when as you are waking up, your soul self is coming back in to body awkwardly. So with that being said I remember a few times, again in that millesecond before waking up, feeling my bed shake. So much so that I turned on the news that morning sure we had an earthquake. I read that this is another symptom of a crash landing.
Anybody out there experience these things? Any thoughts?

i've heard that a loud noise and an 'impact' feeling are sometimes experienced
by people who astral project, or otherwise travel w/o the body during sleep.
the "hey!" voice might belong to a spiritual guide who wants your attention.
have you heard of the legend of zelda?
the fairy navi, links helper, constantly says "hey, listen".

Logic is very relative. Sometimes there's a time lag in our brains between what we perceive and how we process it then register it, keeping it simple - that's where they reckon deja vu comes from. What they think is happening there is the subconscious 'registers' what you're seeing/experiencing instantly, but the brain takes a small fraction of a second to process it and store it in memory. It's a scientific fact that we actually exist in the past because of the small but significant time-lag between things happening and our brains processing it. For your Soul-Self there is no time.

In the time just before we wake up we're essentially 'between worlds' for a very short time, we're not fully in this one or the 'other one' so we're not 'anchored' in either. It's in that time that the consciousness isn't focused and is more 'relaxed', for our Guides or Soul-Self it can be window of opportunity to catch our attention. But are you actually hearing it or perceiving it?

By the way; they "Don't mean a thing?" And here you are?

Hello,

My understanding is that the soul never leaves the body until we pass over.

When we are sleeping it is the intellect which has left the body. Our dreams are often soulful experiences. Now when we wake up it is that intelllect which is back. That I suspect is who greets you as you wake up.

John

I find this fascinating. I often wake up just after i fall asleep and am dreaming i am falling up stairs or tripping over, i wake up suddenly and feel myself fall and crash its scary.

Greenslade: I like your perception on this and its connection with dejavu.
They both give a sense that i can't quite remember an important piece of information i was just thinking about/or had popped into my mind.

Sometimes i think that the dejavu i get is memories from something that i have seen or done in my dreams. Its all very strange really!

It sounds like missed opportunity to enter the astral world.

Usually, hearing sounds upon sleep/awakening (very specific sounds) is a sign of readiness to enter, consciously, the astral world.

- The soul does not leave the body, it does not even have the touch with the body.
Whatever is here, shuts down the bodily's awareness, and continues to act in the 'other' world.
Well, actually the memorizing the other side is shut down, from my PoV ...

I would recommend to do the exercises, which would take you into the astral world, upon awakening and hearing such sounds.

Thank you everybody for your responses and your opinions to my query.
Whats your take on OBE's? Ever heard of the book Soul Traveler by Albert Taylor? He is an engineer and scientist who has been traveling outside of his body at will most of his life.I believe him. In his book he gives a detailed how-to on how to accomplish this your self.Says anyone can do it, it just takes practice. Well I have tried it and it does not feel right at all for me anyway. My opinion is that just because Mr. Taylor was born with natural ability for such things does not mean this is what everybody is supposed to be doing.
As for traveling to the astral world. Isn't that a realm of where we go when we die? I remember shortly after my mother died I asked, prayed, begged really to let me go and visit her. I went on with this for days. Then I got my answer. It was an emphatic No!! The answer was loud and clear. I just can't go there period. So I think that no two people are alike in their quest and their abilities and permissions to travel.

There's a thing called 'Exploding Head Syndrome', and it's well known in psychology - I suggest you google it. This happens to me too in various ways and at various times. It's nothing serious at all, some people have it, some don't.
