What if it happens by accident?

Imagine you wake up one morning and you're 100 years in the past.

What are you gonna do? Will you just adapt and live there, or are you going to look for ways to go back to where and when you used to live previously? How would you do that?

What would you do?

Hi Num78,

I would not like to live 100 years ago. I would rather live 100 years into the future.

adapt or die....while still attempting to solve the puzzle of returning to where I came from.

Get rich "inventing" things, win a nobel prize, avoid a few wars.

First and foremost, put a few couple of hundreds in the bank.
Then go about trying to figure out why/how i gone back.
But i'd mostly just adapt, get new clothes, try to blend in, then i'd just live.

however, 100 years in the past i probably wouldn't be fathomable because i'm heavily mixed . . . where i live there's a lot of racism so 100 years back wouldn't look pretty for me. . in that case i'd go around town pretending to be a goddess who lives in the woods and grants wishes HAHA

Whoops....a hundred years ago would put me right in the middle of the 1st world war, as I live in England. As I have no idea how the 1st world war affected those who lived in England -unlike the 2nd war, where there was rationing and bombing, etc...I really don't know what effects that would have on a rural community. My house would be there as it was built in 1892....my bedroom would still be there! The only big difference would be my kitchen wouldn't exist, nor would my bathroom, or guest room at the back (I'd just have to go to the outside privy for a pee! haha!) I would have no difficulty recognising my home or my land around.
Then I guess I'd just roll my sleeves up, light a fire, put the water to boil in the copper, and get on with it!
I can't say it would bug me too badly to be a time traveller because I don't live very differently now! LOL (of course I would miss Spiritual Forums on my laptop! )

Gosh! So many talented people lived in the beginning of 20th century. Of course, I would stay there for some time - It would be really amazing experience... If I could just meet all those people...

Haha so many people say they would try to find a way back, but... if you would posses the knowledge of how to do that, you could invent time travel now as well. Unless the accident had a very obvious reason like stepping into stonehenge and yelling gods name three times or something like that :P

If i'd be thrown into the past i'd build myself the nice cottage in the woods i've always wanted.
If i'd be thrown into the future i'd find a nice and quiet place if it has any.

I will explore that world and try to find the limits of knowledge that exist in that society.

I would make an attempt to reset things and arrive back into the present but after a certain point if my efforts fail, I would have no choice but to accept my destiny and make the most of it.

In such a case, I would use my knowledge of the 100 years of progress which do not exist in that society and try to help people.

I'd track down Tesla & Einstein to help me find a way to get back home to 2017 ...
