Post How To Calculate Your Numerology

Numerology: Calculate Your Personal Numbers

The most important numbers in your chart are the personality, life path, karma (or wisdom) and personal year numbers. In addition it is possible to work out your monthly, weekly or even daily personal numbers – the personal year number, however, is said to be the most powerful. Although please note that apparently the universal year number can have a large say over your life too.

Personality number contains your potential psychological patterns of behavior. To find this number simply add up the numbers in the day of the month on which you were born.
For example: John Smith born on 27th November. 27 is the day in the month on which John was born, to find a digit between 1 and 9 simply add the compound digits together as follows:
2 + 7 = 9 therefore John’s personality number is 9.

Life Path number gives you information about where you fit into the bigger picture in life, giving you potential direction, as well as soul elements.
To find this number add up all the numbers in your date of birth.
For example: John Smith was born 27th November 1984.
Add up the day and month of birth; 27 + 11 = 38
Add up the year of birth; 1984 = 1 + 9 + 8 + 4 = 22
Add up 38 + 22 = 60
To find a single digit between 1 and 9 add 6 + 0 = 6 therefore John’s life path number is 6.

Karma/Wisdom number can contain potential gifts from your past experiences, gives you information about past lives and additional life lessons to be learnt.
To find this number you need to translate all the letters in your full name that’s on your birth certificate and add them up.

The key for letters to numbers is as follows:

1 A J S
2 B K T
3 C L U
4 D M V
5 E N W
6 F O X
7 G P Y
8 H Q Z
9 I R -

For example: J O H N S M I T H
1 6 8 5 1 4 9 2 8
Add up all these numbers which in this example = 44
Add up 4 and 4 = 8

(These numbers need to be added up until a single digit between 1 and 9 is reached).
In this case, John’s Karma/wisdom number is 8.

Personal Year Cycles
Your personal year number runs from one birthday to the next and influences the experiences which may occur in that year.

For example: John Smith born 21/11/1984. Today’s date 24/08/2009
Step 1 – Add up the year of your last birthday, e.g. John’s last birthday was in 2009 as he has not had his birthday this year.
That is 2 + 0 + 0 + 8 = 10 and 1 + 0 = 1
Step 2 – Add up your day and month of birth. John’s is 27th November which is 27 + 11 = 38, 3 + 8 = 11, 1 + 1 = 2.
Step 3 – Now add the two final numbers in step 1 and 2, so in this case it will be 1 + 2 = 3 so John’s personal year number is 3, this will change from year to year.

Universal Year number changes every year and influences major trends and cycles of events globally. This can and does have a huge influence on your life.
To find this number all you have to do is add up the numbers contained within the appropriate year.
For example: 2009 = 2 + 0 + 0 + 9 = 11 = 1 + 1 = 2, universal year 2
2010 = 2 + 0 + 1 + 0 = 3, universal year 3

The various cycles 1 – 9 are said to be as follows:
1 = new direction
2 = balance
3 = expansion
4 = consolidation
5 = changes
6 = wholeness
7 = completion
8 = karma
9 = transformation

This link offers information on what the numerlogy numbers 1 - 9 can mean, of course this is one slant, but most are probably the same if not very similar with their information/descriptions of each.
I hope this provides useful following on from the original post of how to calculate your numerology, this will tell you what the various numbers mean:

No problem at all, glad to be of some help to you.

In addition to my initial post about how to calculate the most important numbers in your numerology, here is about how to calculate your personal month, week and even day numbers, which are less potent as they are governed by your personal year numbers, but are still important enough.

Personal Month Number:
For example /Sarah Jane Smith’s’ personal year number is currently a 3 (see initial post to work yours out). To calculate your personal month number add your year number to the current month.
E.g. Sarah Jane Smith’s personal year is 3 and the date is 24th June 2009 so:
3 + 6 (June) = 9
Therefore her personal month number for June is 9. In July it will be a 1, and so on.

Personal Week Number:
Add your year number to the current week number.
E.g. Using Sarah’s year number from above which is a 3 added to the date above (24th June 2009) which is week 25 so:
3 + 25 = 28, 2 + 8 = 10, 1 + 0 = 1 so in this example Sarah’s week number would be a 1.

Personal Day Number:
Add the current day of the month to your personal month number, so again using Sarah as an example this would be: 9 + 24 = 33, 3 + 3 = 6, therefore her personal day number is a 6.

Numerology is an ancient science applied based on the importance of numbers. It is used to measure the personalities, events and predictable guide decision making. If you have ever been curious why you are attracted to certain numbers or how the figures in your life affect your destiny, take time to learn more about numerology. The Western system is the ninth most recent and the number of the user The Chaldeans are the oldest, and affects the numerical value of a letter based on the sound.

I'll just add here that it's very important to keep the full numbers in addition to the base numbers (1 - 9). The more a person reads about numerology and uses it in a practical sense, the more they will understand why. .... and my experience is that not everything about numerology and its uses can be learnt from books (and I've read many books on the subject over the years). Numerology goes far beyond predicting personality and upcoming month/year experiences.

As an example - a lot of people forget to look at their birth time. In astrology the time is critical for drawing up an accurate and complete chart. It's very important in numerology too, but yet it is never considered.
