haha ... maybe the reverence is about feeling a sense of 'unconditional' belonging, or acceptance, because according to the 'law of oneness' if you reject me, you reject an aspect of yourself ...

Well then I will make it a point not to reject you Sound. Err, while we're at it is there anyone else I shouldn't reject

And are you saying that the darn place has laws??? Sheesh!!!!

Seriously though, what you say has figured in my experience at every turn. I have seen that the greatest resistance I feel towards others is what is prevaillant in me. Or is the only separation in the mind?? Is there simply the resistance and I am only identifying it exteriorally to stave off deeply contemplation?? Wow, good point!!!

Far be it from me to tell you what you should and shouldn’t accept into your experience Buzz, but for me, I wouldn’t reject anyone who has something to offer :) which, to my mind, includes all who draw breath in one sense. That begs the question 'what constitutes rejection?' ...

I guess Law is another way of saying Principle ... the jury is still out for me in regards to universal laws but some stuff is beyond difficult to 'reject' lol theres that word again ...

Yeah that can be quite revealing cant it. We can also discern through the power of observation too don’t you think … and resist/sidestep that which we ‘know’ isn’t conducive to our experience. Resistance isn’t a dirty word in that respect … there seems to be a difference between resistance and rejection ...

Everything seems to start with an idea … if I uphold the belief that perceived separation is an issue, then my experience will be faithful to that belief, and will include self-imposed limitations, which serve to illustrate nothing other than that ‘seeming’ fact …

Deep contemplation can seemingly lead into that ‘perceived’ void yeah? So if there is apprehension(fear) then yes, we will most likely devise a way/means to stave off the inevitable lol ...

How many of us are free of even our own minds

Is it just another concept for heaven?

Is it any more pertinent than religious doctrine?
Is it not more beneficial to stand where we are, rather then further desire any other state of existance?.
A lot of questions there.
I hope one day everyone one day, if only for a fleeting moment,
Experiences what was termed in 1901 as Cosmic Consciousness.

Then, Oneness will no longer be considered a philosophy, an idea, a concept, no
better
Than a religion, something that sells books...

There are some here that have never ever had a "cosmic or divine" experience
Of reality.
And there are some here that have...by sheer Grace, or drugs, or fever, or
Near death or days/months of focused meditation or stillness.

Those that have had this awesome, humbling experience can only share what
They can and hopefully keep that experience in the forefront of their memories
To keep their perspective of living 'here' joyous along with being somewhat
Like the proverbial lotus coming from the mirky water, but remaining pure and untouched
By its surroundings.

It takes deliberate desire, effort like a dedicated Olympic athlete, daily re-focusing,
Constant remembering...bec the nature of this world is distraction.

Thank God at this time we can open our awareness not only thru our inner work,
But now, we have quantum physics telling us also we are 99.99999% empty space!
More and more we can understand the microcosm and the macrocosm...
So this "idea" of Oneness can even be embraced by the common 'Joe', non-seeker.

Oneness is the *Presence of God* God is One .
There is no beginning no end ,god was always there .
Everything is made of matters so we all one and the same .

The explanation of Oneness describe life at the core , it's not a theory but
a fact everything in a deeply sense is related , as we believe or not in
miracles at the end it's normal doing on a higher level .

Please don't misunderstand me. I have enjoyed glimpses during meditation and in other states. I don't view it as a theory.
My inquiry is, considering that oneness is paraded about in both dual and non dual circles, is its role over emphasised within the context of the human experience. Does the seeking of a 'higher' state dampen the expression pf being here and now within this life?

Three questions, Buzz...

How could the ultimate essence of everything be overemphasized?

How could being aware in this essence make our human experience less?

Could it be these ideas are just fear of the unknown in the human mind?

OK I'll do my best......

The ultimate essense has not revealed itself to me personally. So I don't do blind faith as a day to day working model.

I don't invalidate being aware of oneness, that is impossible, simply when it
becomes overstated

It may be that in a lot of cases anything outside of our reality may threaten. But I am not motivated by fear, when you eliminate the seeker you tend to question it's ways is all.

If we are not prepared to rip things apart, we will forever live in mystery about there workings.
