Maybe the price of fame is to not be with your TF physically in this lifetime. Being famous seems very karmic to me.

Haha! Well, it's fortunately a mutual attraction, in my case. 
Although, generally speaking, if they are your TF, you should be willing to go to jail for them, right?  |

If they were truly your tf they wouldn't want you to go to jail for them. |

I wouldn't go to jail for him. That would mean I thought he was somehow above me, wouldn't it? ...if I 'went after him' in some way. That will never happen. It would have to be mutual, and I think if it was meant to happen, it will be orchestrated by the powers-that-be. : )
