pentagram shape have meaning?

does the pentagram shape have any meaning to it?

Pyramids are supposed to somehow change the energy so that if food is placed within a 3D pyramid, it doesnt rot, it preserves.

So i was wondering, does the pentagram have similar effects when working with magic?

i look at it in 2 ways, the shape can be used to direct and focus whatever it is you are doing with it. the other way i look at it is that its all about meaning and intention, take the cross for example, its just a cross, invert it and well its still a cross but your intention is to make it evil

The pentagram has been around for many centuries and it was/is believed to be a protection from evil. At one time it represented the 5 wounds of Christ on the cross by Christians.

The top point represents Spirit and the other four points each represent an element.

It is a symbol for the faith of Wicca and the inverted pentagram with the two points up represents the second degree in that faith.

Elsewhere, the inverted or reversed pentagram represents the descent of spirit into matter.
