A Little Confused...

So recently, my TF has opened up a lot and showed recognition that he understands our connection. I've been aware of the connection for a long while now.
He recently expressed that in the future, he wants to get married.
That really threw me for a loop because there is a lot of commitment involved there. We will never be in an intimate relationship due to him being gay. If I married my TF/best friend then it would cause barriers in intimate relationships that I do try to have with other people in the future, and I feel like the same would go for him if he ever met another guy that he felt like he had a future with.
I'm completely with him on the idea... I can't think of anyone else that I would legitimately commit my life to but at the same time, I feel like it would cause problems. Especially with my current boyfriend who wants to get married at some point (though I don't feel like I could marry him). I don't even know how I would explain this to my current boyfriend because he's already experiencing a lot of pain in feeling like he's been losing me over the last year.
Has anyone else experienced something similar?
