"Picking" a Religion

I was raised as an Evangelical Fundamentalist Christian. But I feel that I disagree with too many things to believe anymore. But I cannot be athiest because I have experienced spiritual things...

I am so unhappy... Would any religion "do" are there religions to avoid?

I feel like I need faith in knowing all the answers, that the truth has got to be somewhere and knowable...

I like to play with as many different beliefs as possible. But then if you step back, most of the beliefs are very similar. One subject most people do not dwell on is 'how little' you need to know to be accepted.

There are over 5200 official religion's in the world today and all of them have a written theology have more than one believer and they all think they are worshipping the most accurate example of the highest God and most importantly they all pray and feel God and miracles happen performed in the name of that God so unless he's pulling a fast one on everybody and hes pretending not to be all of them when he is orrrrrrr there's a different reason and one not to many are able to see

Angnix: I have practiced or been close friends with those that practice 12 different religions/faiths/belief systems. All of them can create kind, good, thoughtful and spiritual people. All of them can also create disgruntled, disillusioned and ignorant people.

I can't claim to know your path, I can just speak to my own, but from my experience changing paths will only be a 'quick fix' to your problem, keeping your engaged in a new world of vocabulary and concepts for a short while before disillusionment sets in yet again.

Before you decide to change your path, look inwards and look around. Is the problem with your path, or is the problem how you choose to walk it? Will changing your externals truly solve your problem, or is there something you can change inside of you?

Remember that God and Spirit are everywhere and one can find it in Evangelical Fundamentalist Christianity just as well as one can find it in Buddhism, Taoism, Islam... even Atheism... if you know where to look.
