ANGELICIOUS LENTIL PATTIES

The measure of ingredients is pretty carefree, and adjusted to taste. What I love about this recipe is the creativity involved, you know, the fun in randomly throwing stuff in a bowl & making a royal mess of the kitchen (Ahhh, good times, good times).
  • 2-3 Cups of cooked, drained Lentils.
  • 1 Cup of cooked Rice (of your choice).
  • 3-4 TBSP of Mixed Herbs.
  • 2 Onions, chopped.
  • 2 squirts of Soy Sauce (not too much, it dominates).
  • 3 TBSP melted honey.
  • 1 egg (optional).
  • Dry mixture to bind (everything) containing Cook 'n' Coat (seasoned crumb mixture used to coat fish or chicken) and Flour. NOTE: Use more cook 'n' Coat than flour.
  • Golden Syrup, Maple Syrup (Optional).
  • Oil for frying
Mix together. Spoon amounts into pan of oil and cook. I serve these tasty babies on the side, with chips & salad.
