When I meditate, I usually meditate with my eyes open. Many times, I have actually seen my breath as it interacts with my aura.

Reading this it does take you into the immediate feeling that everything can be breathed through and will pass.

I have a question regarding what Buddhism relates to as energy being reborn. I understand the belief, that there is no permanent self or soul. Because there is no unchanging permanent essence or soul, I’m just wondering how the idea of energy being reborn rather than soul relates to death from the physical body ?

The higher your level of consciousness, the closer you are to the source,to God.

I'm sorry, perhaps I shouldn't have come to his thread as I am not a Buddhist, but when I see the thread starter...No God,it drew me to it.
Consciousness is all around,so is God.Everything has consciousness,it is not for us to choose the vehicle in which we travel.
I'll leave you all to it,promise not to interrupt again.

You see what happens in the mind and what it is doing, for you can say whatever you like without being offensive or hurtful anyone, because we aren't overly concerned about knowledge as such, but with conscious awareness of what the mind is doing. All the reactions and what we call 'defilements' that elicit our misery and impel us to be hurtful toward others.

We have what we call 'right effort' in Buddism, which not a Buddhist practice as such, but a universal practice which helpful to all human beings. Right effort is an endeavour to rid the mind of tendencies that create suffering, misery and so on, and cultivate a disposition of kindness, compassion and generosity.

That's a practice which is always good not for Buddhists or christians or Hindus or another religion, but for everyone regardless of religion, beliefs and other superfluous individual traits. The universal is obviously bigger than the individual, and consciousness is universal regardless of individual characteristics.
