automatic writing communication with a loved one's spirit

I am curious... I have a question for those of you who practice automatic writing to "get in touch" with your loved ones who pased away. Do they have the same handwriting as when they were living?

I have no idea. My aunt communicates with her deceased husband by automatic writing, as well as sensing his energy/presence with her many times. I will ask her when I talk to her next.

When anyone does automatic writting its the energy of the ones in spirit that control the pen, you just write down what they channel through you,its not their hand writting.

When I channel using automatic writing, it is not what one would necessarily associate as "automatic" writing. I listen and wait and get the words one at a time, so it is me writing them down, spirit doesn't control the pen, just the words LOL.

I always channel guides or angels or higher level entities I guess the phrase would be, so I have never channeled a departed relative (that I know about). Not sure I would want to, but I am not a medium either :). I guess, for me, it's enough to know that they are happy on the other side and still love me...

Thank you so much to both of you for your answers! What you say actually makes a lot of sense
I was asking this question because the loved one that I want to communicate with is someone whom I never talked to directly; we only communicated through letters. Hence his handwriting is very important for me and I guess I was too focused on it! But yeah, there is no real reason why it should be his handwriting.
Besides, one could argue that it was only his hand writing in this incarnation, not the previous one.... so there's no reason why it should "emerge"

Just be cautious, if your writing is successful, that you check that the individual communicating is actually the one you want it to be.....
