Mermaid Guide?

So I was doing a ouija board session with some people one night, and this one friend of mine, Hannah, was talking about how she was able to contact her spirit guides through it and she uses one once a week and talk to her guide Celia, and has a very strong bond with her. So that night we used the board and got in contact with our guides. I found out my Guide is a mermaid named Ropart (the T is silent), and she told me to be careful of my step brother because of what he did to me in the past she thinks he would cause me harm and she told me to tell my mom what he did to me. Once i did all of this I've felt so much better about myself, i've kept that secret for 13 Years. She also told me instead of using the board to meditate near water. I've been trying to get better at meditating and its slowly progressing.

I wanna know if anyone else has a guide that is a mythological creature/being.

i have a faerie and mermaid guide among a couple of others. generally your guides are higher aspects of yourself. like past lives but different realities

Thats awesome!!! I never thought of that before :), my boyfriendsguide is his older brother in a past life in the 1800's, i guess when he was younger his guide actually tucked him into bed at night.
