Id have to agree. ..... when you get to the $10,000 mark in monthly income. .........financial freedom starts opening up.

Below that is simple subsistence. ....

When I do things I question myself, people can pay me, but would I do it for free? I try to keep within the realm of doing things which I would do for free so my headspace is more giving than taking. I never had a desire to be rich, so I have not been led into doing things just for money and ended up trapped there. I try to do things for generosity's sake as far as possible, bit sometimes I have to begrudgingly do some nasty jobs for money I'm desperate for. I guess most people do.

I don't want very much, and you will never see me at a drive through window. I never want to waste money on luxury, restaurants and so on, but I like to have a little treat occasionally, and occasionally I buy a coffee out - and no, I do not skimp on tea! (My mum likes earl grey so I get the best brand). I don't drink alcohol anymore or take any funny stuff, which I used to spend a lot of of money on. I stopped that and suddenly had money piling up in the bank - but what would I spend it on? I don't know what 'the high life' is and I ain't gunna 'make it rain'.

I think it is a good idea to decide what you really need, and keep modest and close to that. If you become fortunate and money starts piling up, still be moderate, but maybe can afford just a few 'nice things'. Otherwise you start to want want want and get get get and spend spend spend and more and more and more, and end up being a slave to the almighty dollar - the God of too much is never enough.
