Seeing Through Appearances
My 26 old daughter has severe mental and physical disability requiring full support and care for every little thing. To anyone seeing her, she would appear to be really unfortunate and cursed. For a really long time even I believed that she was unfortunate.
In the last few years since my awareness has shifted and I have started seeing things differently, I realize that she is actually a very blessed soul. By living out this life, she is actually getting to correct all her past negative karma and best of all, she has no opportunity whatsover to accumulate any negative karma in this lifetime!
The one who appears to be cursed is actually blessed....

I agree. From personal experience as well. What appears to be a curse is often a blessing. Its not always easy to see. Especially at first.
For me, it had nothing to do with past karma though. |

So true... I've learnt patience from her and try to learn the art of being satisfied and uncomplaining with very little just by watching her.

I've worked with disabled people of many types over the past 20+ years. The most valuable things I learned in life I learned from them.
