That is so cool.

Your mind is right on target and it's a common experience. So sorry for your lose.
A number of years ago my Mom felt that from losing her husband, my Dad.

I have to tell you, it is truly a sign of love and devotion when someone cares so much.

But maybe "The Light" they are meant to go to is within the Love.
Who are we to impose limits on what the spirit of a loved one can and can't do? If we (deceased or not) hold another Soul dear, and come to them to show love -then what could be wrong with that?
This may also be part of a spirit's learning in the next world.
Those so-called "attachments" are not the same as the negative spirit-attachments. They are the bonds of love, friendship and caring help.
If they come to us, they probably can do exactly what they need to do in the next world as well.
The next dimension doesn't operate in a linear way like this one does, and doesn't operate under the restrictions we imagine here based on this world.
And how could true love and genuine companionship ever hold a Soul back anyway? It's one of the finest things we could know as Souls.

But I am very very sorry for your loss and what happened.

Communications with the dead.

I have had many encounters a a clairaudient since my teenage years and I'm in my early 60's now. I have tried often to speak to them but never received an answer, only a glimpse of movement then nothing. I often wonder if I scare them off by actually responding to them once they had made an audible remark, as short as it may have been.
Most of my communications are very short and leaves you confused at best, and you're convinced it is not inside your head.
The most common is hearing your name called crisp, clean and clear, ranging from very near your head to across the room or from another room.

I keep wondering who it is!
