Person of power?

I've heard this phrase "person of power" several times. In terms of shamanism what does it mean?

One thing to remember...................... no person in this world has power, the power works through them.........that is why they are all messengers.

It means a person that can act by non-ordinary/transcendent means. In practical terms this means commanding energy, getting assistance from spirits (land, animal, nature, ancestors), getting actionable visions, etc.

As indicated above this includes most shamans but also warriors, chiefs, healers, some story tellers, and a few 'ordinary' people.
