Had trouble putting each card into a designated time slot, but eh I think it turned out ok for a first time. :)

Random Movie Idea #1

Ace of Pentacles, 4 of Wands, Queen of Cups, Queen of Swords (r.)

The Beginning, there were two kingdoms, Gunther, the Southern Kingdom, and Surya, the Northern Kingdom. Each was ruled by two well-known queens--the benevolent Queen Layla, a skilled healer who ruled with her heart, and the intelligent Queen Irena, a powerful warrior, who ruled with her mind. The Queens were rivals however, and constantly at odds with each other.

Enter Phillip, a well-known wandmaker in the Southern Kingdom of Gunther who had it all. Love for his job, love for his family, good food, good wine. His life couldn't be better--but now it was all on the line as he toiled for night after sleepless night, trying to create a wand so powerful, it could purge an entire kingdom from the dark energies around it. And then it hit him. Maybe he didn't have to. Smiling, he began to carve an intricate looking staff instead. But there was no magic core to it, no energies infused and bound to it.

For one day, the Queen Layla summoned him informing him of terrible news--the Northern Kingdom of Surya had fallen, for Queen Irena's insatiable curiosity in learning the darker side of sword magic had accidentally unleashed a powerful spell that plunged the entire kingdom into darkness--a darkness that was growing and beginning to take over Gunther as well. Worried for her fellow Queen, as well as the people of the two kingdoms, Layla asked him humbly, if he would be so kind as to fashion her a wand that would help defeat the darkness and save the other Queen. When Phillip hands the staff to her, she looks at him confusedly, as she felt no magical energy to it. But as she thinks of a spell, the wand glows softly. Then it dawns on her and she smiles, realizing what he had done.

Striding out to the balcony of her castle, Layla begins to cast a luminous, healing spell that engulfs not only her kingdom, but Irena's as well. Peace is restored to the lands, and Irena appears before the two of them, humbled, but grateful for Layla's compassion. Phillip, as unobtrusive and humble as ever, slips away and heads back home to his family. For he knew in all the years of making wands, there was no one greater threat to darkness than one's own innate light. The staff had only amplified Layla's own--and that of Irena's.

'No more at home'

Nina's father died after struggling for months. Nina had taken care of her father till the very end, and it had been a very emotional time of loss for both of them . Nina was his only child and her mother had passed when she was four years old.
Her uncle was a corrupt man. He always had the eyes for his brother's assets. He wanted ownerships of his father's business back to himself after his brother and wanted nothing by his way to stop him. One night Nina got a call from his aunt. Her aunt was breathing heavily. She told Nina that she had a narrow escape from her husband after she had overheard him plotting to kill her. She was fleeing from home with his daughter and apparently he had hired hitmen to kill her. She had to run for life. She should to leave the city and be anywhere but there.
Nina felt like her whole world collapsed. She couldn't believe what she had heard. She took her purse, money, her car keys and left home at once
She drove in the middle of the night for hours. Life wasn't going to be the same without her father. Now she had no one by her side who cared. She was going to have to find her's again.

"Battle Scars"

Matthew endured an extremely unhappy childhood. His father was an alcoholic whose moods shifted suddenly for no apparent reason. Neither his mother, nor himself, could do any deed that was considered right in his father's eyes. When he turned 16, his mother finally got the courage to leave his father.

After years of feeling he didn't belong, Matthew saw an advert to join the Army. He was hooked. He thought the Army was the family he never had. The training was easy, he was fit and used to being yelled at, intimidated and constantly criticised. He sailed through and was the happiest he had ever been. But all that came to an abrupt change when he went on his first tour of duty. He saw his mates killed, intolerable suffering and hardship. Young men were broken within days, either literally or mentally.

When he returned from his tour, he began to show the signs of PTSD. If a car backfired, he would duck. Loud noises had him cowering in a corner. He was a mess. The Army discharged him on medical grounds and he felt more alone than he'd ever been. He was unable to fit into society, couldn't get a job and was penniless.

The Army didn't provide much in the way of treatment but he did find a support group of men who had similar problems. He started attending the meetings, but even then, he was unable to fit in. It was a complete failure as far as he was concerned. He left the group in much the same state as he joined.

It was around this time that Matthew started using drugs. It was the only way he was able to effectively block out the pain. The drugs only made his problems worse though. He started hallucinating, became paranoid and was unable to have any sustainable relationships. He spent his days on high alert, waiting, expecting to be attacked at any moment. And so his life went on, but he was still standing, only just.

(What a cheery movie ... NOT, lol)

Nice one, this remind me of two things. Brad Paisley's song ' Whiskey Lullaby ' and the movie 'Born on fourth of july'

"Of Dreams and Delusions"

Roderick has been in love with Rosalind since they first met as kids. When he becomes a knave of Sir Roland, Rosalind's elder brother, he takes a look at the window of her room when ever no one notices... Roderick and Rosalind sometimes manage to take a secret walk into the forest together, where they talk, sing and dance together.

Roderick is happy with being a knave, as this means he one day will be knighted. On the other hand, he always feels that there is something missing in his life. Not only because Rosalind is of higher station, which means that she never will be his. As the son of a nobleman, Roderick has learned to read and write as well as Greek and Latin. He has read not only Ancient philosophical texts and the Bible, but also poetry and hero tales. He dreams of becoming a hero, so that Rosalind will love him with her heart, at least, even though she still won't be able to make her his wife. It is then when the chance arises, or so it seems, to prove himself as a knight and commit heroic deeds.

All men capable of fighting are called to fight for their country and faith. Roderick gladly joins. He is a good rider and fighter after all, and as he is a knight now, he will lead his own group of armed men. On the long journey, Roderick is eager and cannot wait to battle the enemy.

Faced with war and battle, Roderick has to realize that it isn't all gold and glory, not at all. Enemy or not, his first kill causes him to throw up. When one of his man gets killed, he feels devastated. After this first battle, he regains happiness, though, as the battle was victorious, and when the men are celebrating afterwards, he feels like the hero he always wanted to be.
The next battle doesn't go so well, though. Roderick finds himself one of the last men standing on the field, after a short blood rush, he sees the corpses strewn everywhere, the coppery smell of blood makes him want to throw up, but he can't. Falling to his needs, doubting everything he ever believed him, he prays to his God... when the fatal wound he got and just didn't notice finally takes its toll. In his last moments Roderick realizes that his dreams to become a hero were not more than an illusion, and that when your dreams are delusional, they sooner or later will turn into a nightmare.

(Rosalind never learned of Roderick's fate.)
