I am a fan of objectivity and logic both. But I know that logic has its limitations, if not inherent in itself, then always at least within the mind that deploys it. And objectivity is always something of an illusion, just as is an independent objective reality (at least in manifestation anyway). The object is never truly independent of the subject, what is observed is always entangled with the observer. We all play a role in creating the reality that we share, so it is good to question how what we experience, as well as that which we create, is being affected by those cool mirrored shades we are all wearing.

Not really. I'm as realistic and down to Earth as it gets, but I have nothing dark about me, and rarely any negativity.
You choose to live in the dark and be negative all the time, your name alone says enough. What I never get is what you are doing here, on a spiritual forum.
Surely there must be other places on the net where like-minded negative and / or dark people hang out.

SlayerOfLight, from what I've seen, it's got nothing to do with being objective and logical and everything to do with trying to feel superior. It's not enough to simply not believe in such things as soul mates or twin flames or what have you... but it seems to be necessary for you to come along into these discussions and stomp on those who do believe and belittle their questions and concerns. And you truly seem to take immense glee in doing so. It comes across as purely malicious, at least to me. Don't people have the right to ask their questions without being made to feel a fool?
Or perhaps you're looking for someone to convince you it's all true... He doth protest too much? *ponders*

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Everyone has a dark side, and you too are no exception. Sure maybe your dark side is let dominant than mine or some others, but it's still there.
And good for you that you have the luxury to choose, because I don't. There's a very good reason for my beliefs. They don't make me happy, but to me it's still the truth whether I like it or not, and I certainly don't owe you any detailed explanation.

I don't stomp on anyone, the only thing I stomp on is the concept of twin flames itself. You don't think I've been there myself? I never knew about the 'phrase' twin flame, but many years ago before I joined the forum, I'd probably be stupid enough to give several people in my life that title if I knew about it. Everyone can believe what they want, but I also have the right to share my own perspective. Now, are we done with the inquisition?

While I can only speak for myself, I agree. There are those who do throw insults as a routine part of their posts, but if that bothers people then they don't engage, or place them on the ignore list. You have every right to be here, and though many including myself find you a bit on the dark side, if dark is what you feel, then dark is what you should express. It is only when my beliefs and ideas are challenged that I am forced to see them through the eyes of another, which I personally find valuable. So no, you don't need to be a pixi, and if Freddy Krueger is more like who you identify with (lol), then slash away... at ideas of course, not people.

I find the flippant 'soulmates are akin to prostitutes' type remarks to be hurtful and most unhelpful while I'm working on figuring out my own place in this world amidst much pain and confusion. My apologies, I reacted. I will no longer read your posts.

They are only hurtful if you can't take a dose of sarcasm. But you know what, I've been told plenty of 'hurtful' things by a lot of members here, such as that my melancholia is the cause of my own karma and/or choice before birth, while you boys and girls know nothing about me or my life. But despite that, I rarely if ever fired any shots because most people (except a very few) meant well.

This above got a rise out of me.
Are you saying the Europeans, the Africans, the Asians etc. never ever make a wish? LOL... I find that extremely hard to believe.
Having said that, I do agree with most of your last paragraph. It takes some work to achieve goals, but different strokes for different folks, imo.

im a bit uneasy with this sort of thing, it feels a bit like what witches do and the feeling of it being risky like a come back or back fire comes to mind, if it actually works are you really playing with the other persons free will by like sort of asking or forcing it to happen? i think it'd better to let it just happen randomly like perfect timing as they say, good things come to those who wait. i just worry here that this law of attraction thing has an effect to your current karma situation, where ever it's at. some people will use this to make money or other personal gains and i feel sickly like it will back fire.
