One of the best ways is to have support from just having someone to speak to having a shoulder to cry on. healing starts from within you have to want to heal in order for healing to take place.

Namaste

Star Aura,

one of my former clients managed to get rid of the sadness by:
1) performing a complete brain dump
2) having and maintaining a gratitude journal

Instructions for Brain dump
- material needed: 10 blank papers, two pens
- place: find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed for the following 4 hours
- before you start: eat and drink something, visit WC, turn off your cell phone, lock the doors
- what you should do when you are prepared: take a pen and start writing on the paper, anything, what comes to your mind, the sentences don't have to make sense, if you are able to put only words, don't worry, the idea is to fill all 10 blank papers with your writing, after 15 minutes of writing you get into trans and you will start putting on paper fragments from subconcious mind, unresolved issues. you are finished when all papers are covered. if this happens, stop this exercise, don't read the papers, got rid of them
- need to repeat: after a week, repeat this exercise just once, this time only 2 papers are needed

Instructions for Gratitude journal
- material needed: paper notebook/notepad, pen
- what you should do:
1) when you are doing it for the first time, take your pen and write down all the things you are grateful for in your life, if you can't figure out what to right, try to think what other people don't have and you have (it can be family, health, work, relationships, house, food, ..), for example: I have a place where I can live, I have two brothers with whom I have good relationships, I have a work, I have some money on a savings account etc..
2) when you are doing it on 2nd day or later, write in your gratitude journal - all the positive events that happened during today, if you can't figure out what to write, write what didn't happen but might have happened, for example: I safely drived my car from work to home, I was not tired during the day, I came to the shop to buy the last bread..
- time: perform this exercise in the evening before going to sleep
- how often: do this exercise daily, for at least 45 days, anytime you can read what you have written in previous days

Before seeking help from others (for example alternative healers), I would try these two exercises.

I deal with my personal sadness by doing what I want to. This week I've been feeling particularly sad so I've gone out to lunch every day this week (normally I eat a light home made meal), eating junk food whenever i want, and drinking alcohol whenever I want.

When it comes to others, I don't believe we can cure sadness in others. The best thing we can do for others is 1. be there for them. 2. talk with them and avoid judgement, bring compassion. In doing one or both of those things we can help a person beat their sadness much faster than if they were trying to beat it alone.
