Turbans and Aureolas

Hello ,

Could it be that the turban was originally used by ancient Indian sages for the purpose to hide their aureolas?
Perhaps just for the sake of privacy?

Not sure about that.

The turban worn by most is used mainly to cover the head from the hot Indian sun .

The Sikhs, who do not cut their hair or beards due to religious principle, wear the turbans mainly so as to cover their long hair. The turban is also considered as a protection from mental or psychic negativity of other people.

I agree with Ajay. Turbans were all about heat control, and then later, hair control. Besides, it wouldn't hide the aureola, as the aureola isn't physical, but an energy that can be seen by mystic eyes. It extends out in front as well.

originally, noone cut their hair, so im sure it was common amongst the traditions that kept themselves groomed. but its also culturally worn just as another form of attire.

though, as someone who wears a turban, theres definitely a spiritual effect, and thats doubtless been used amongst practitioners from the start
