Art and music that makes you tremble
I was recently streaming music and listening to a lot of songs I really liked, but all of a sudden a song came on that I'd never heard. For some reason though, the music hit an emotion deep inside like nothing else. It was something that seemed like ecstasy, exquisite beauty, and longing, with an ache of melancholy. It made me tremble and cry a little, as if somehow I had been cut off from half of my senses all this time or a sense of reunion. The music I had been listening to before was good, but by comparison, it just seemed kind of empty now. I have had this experience with art as well, such as when you see a painting that takes you to a place that feels like home?
What is the reason for that? What causes that?

Probably because you can relate to it or it inspires you in some way. There are certain movies, quotes, and pictures that make me feel the same way. Like it speaks directly to me.

Sibelius Symphony No 5 4th movement:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkzrSZKA4cM
(I find watching the video distracting, with respect to the musicians, but this is a good version.)
There are masses of others, including Mozart, Bach, Chopin, Rachmaninov etc....They don't make me actually tremble but I find them so moving.

Art can trigger past life memories. It happened in your case. I know, for a while now, if i listen to music any sort of music, i feel a sense of loss and longing. However, it's getting better now.

I can't say if that's it for sure, but if I had to describe it, I would say that's exactly what if feels like. Thanks for the input.

That one is so beautiful. It reminds me of a summer evening. Chopin has gone with me all of my life. One of my very earliest memories, thanks to my Dad, and always there through everything....
I love the Nocturnes.
Here's a complete collection, played by Pollini.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

I recall seeing a painting of a young woman sitting on the train tracks with her head on her knees as if she was crying while the train was coming towards her from behind. I remember thinking how poetic it was. Thinking about what must be going through her mind in order for her to want to put an end to her existence this early in life. And now here she is, sitting on the tracks only a few seconds away from death. What is she thinking now?
I don't expect anyone here to see any beauty in that but i did.
