There's an instrument... I'm not sure what it's called but I think it's Japanese in origin. It only has two strings but the most beautifully haunting sound I've ever heard. I love the french horn and cello as they also seem to evoke emotion in me. Oh... and I love the sound of a Rhodes organ.

I played Piano for over 25 years - primarily as the worship leader in our Charismatic church movement 1980's - 2006.

I also enjoyed Keyboards and Synthesizers, and have a Korg, Roland etc hiding somewhere in a closet. I wish I had the space and the time to pack it all out and do some recording studio work at home again, even if its only to upload as MP3s on Youtube.

Well, I play the piano, but my favorite instrument is the cello. I love that beautiful, deep sound... I would love to play it, because it would feel like I'm hugging it, it's my cello, and together we can produce beautiful music. I do get attached to my piano, but unfortunately I can't carry it around !

I am playing the banjo at present and started late in life to begin learning but I enjoy listening to the piano, bagpipes and violin (fiddle when played in Bluegrass with a banjo)

I like the theremin. I have always found it spooky and weird.

I also like the shakuhachi...10 minutes of listening to it and I'm in the land of nod.

I love the violin but am too busy to get good at it. I have one though and play with it now and then. It'd be cool if I had the time to get really good although I might even prefer the cello.

Lately I do find some time to play the baritone ukulele, which is tuned the same as the top four strings of a guitar. So it's a good downgrade from the guitar, or as a pre-guitar instrument.
