Don't believe everything you think.
You might not be seeing things or people as they are.
You might not be seeing yourself as you are.
Probably all of us have some false beliefs.
Only God sees everything exactly as it is.
Things are what they are, not what they seem.

A nice exhortation to the un-spiritually-developed. But it's a matter of how much you want to find a real self; to drive your own life rather than have it driven by others many of whose influences you don't even suspect. And to discover and verify your maître tête and live up to the principles, always adapting as conditions change. It could be hard or easy but - no matter - it is. We sometimes approach with enthusiasm, perhaps even "love". Other times the necessary discipline and honesty are painful!
False beliefs exist only until you know they're false, then we have to set them right. Seeing things as they are is a process of refinement. It's about relationship between the subject and object, the subject being the totality of our experiences to date. We have to interpret. The meanings we give to signs can sometimes be vague.
As I see it....
