Cool 50 shades darker

I saw 50 Shades Darker yesterday and enjoyed it as a classy porno film BUT, even though it seemed to end (to be continued?) on a happy and loving note, the deep and complicated emotional conflicts within Mr. Grey, made it obvious to me, based on my own psychotherapy experiences, that horrible things are lurking down the road for these two wildly passionate lovers.
Grey is obviously emotionally damaged and very fragile while the Lady seems quite solid and resolved BUT there are subtle and not so subtle "hints' of emotional problems within her as well even though the film says nothing of her own family's past, where most emotional problems start. I can almost guess that she has early childhood trauma relating back to her father just as Grey has going back to his 1st mother.
The film is kind of a weird mixture of exciting, hot porn action and very deep and disturbing psychological/emotional stuff which I believe will become the focus of the next issue of this classy porn flick.
IMO, Grey is headed for a very dark and perhaps horrifying end and maybe his 'lover' as well when their unresolved, inner wounds eventually consume both of them since it is not very likely that either of them will ever go for help to heal their painful pasts.
For me, this film is a very graphic demonstration of the disturbing things that unhealed, bottled up pain and trauma can do to a Survivor of early trauma.
It was very sad for me to watch even though I enjoyed the sex.

I have yet to watch the movie, part 1 or two. I hear they do a terrible depiction of BDSM, a conversation we had here

Interesting how you say they track Grey's behavour from his relationship with his mother, however, nothing is mentioned of the female. I am wondering if the film wanted to specifically give the female an empowering position, not one of a victim, but simply a woman of choice, someone who is confident in exploring their sexuality

Ill have to keep this movie in mind--- if it ever reaches netflix *shrugs*

Sex and nudity in film... Look I'm a lover of love, but IMO there is nothing tackier than sex and nudity on-screen. Totally and completely unnecessary, like including several scenes of people going to the washroom every film. Yeah, we all do it, big deal. Now let's explore something interesting, like peoples' consciousness and understanding evolving.

Completely agree. For me, sex is an act of love. I detest the way people can be so loose and free with their sexuality, I think it creates so many problems. People don't realise, or seem to care that they're exchanging fluids, not to mention chakra and auric energy.

Oh, you mean this one: http://www.spiritualforums.com/vb/sh...d.php?t=110022
I read your post over there: " I guess my view is: whatever floats your boat ( lol)."... and quite agree with you. Irene and I "experimented" with some very innocent "bondage" but finally dropped all of that for simpler and more LOVING interactions. Bondage, vibrators, toys, lotions, positions and gymnastics, etc. eventually just got in the way whereas simple, direct loving touch and emotions worked best for us.

I did not see the original, part 1, but would like to see how Grey is presented there. In this 2nd part, the girl friend is presented as independent and strong but not really! To me, they both seem emotionally damaged and very NEEDY. I see psychological value in this story more than just passion and stimulation. IMO, Grey is a very sick man who needs HELP perhaps more than just sex. I knew a few "sex-a-holics" in the past and they were pretty emotionally messed up!

You should read the books! Sooo much better I didn't even make it through the first film, won't be bothering with this one. I actually think it's a beautiful love story. but not a good representation for BDSM and I believe quite a few people had problems as a result as girls where deciding this was all very attractive and went hunting for mr gray... only to discover that bdsm is not all helicopters, gifts, with a little light bondage thrown in... and mr gray is in fact shock horror a fictional character... I learned the hard way... spent years looking for santa but kept getting thrown out of retirement homes... apparently he doesn't exist either (sigh)

It's people's voyeuristic tendencies with matters they don't understand about themselves. Hush hush subjects that our taboo-riddled
society doesn't allow to be discussed openly. So they wonder. They peek through a proverbial keyhole.

It used to be a catchphrase that films without S & V won't sell.

I agree with you. No point in showing others' sex to me, especially with
the current trend of women dominant - on top, wriggling about.
A bum bouncing up and down under a towel was a lot more amusing.

Give me a policier any time!

Gosh that was my first sex experience at 17, back in the 1970s, with her on top. Talk about being ahead of one's time.

That's a real spiritual/religious experience come to think of it: looking up, at "God," and feeling so so SO blessed in the moment.

I saw it with my wife. She liked it, but it did nothing for me. Just another chick flick.

I absolutely agree with you. Although some people don't see sex as an spiritual act . I'm not sure what Auric Energy is but I'll definitely look it up. I haven't watched or read' The Fifty Shades of Grey ' because I can find better erocica stories.
